    OK, it is the best comedy I have ever seen? ... maybe not. But the alt-right trolls are the ones trashing this show. Anyone who disagrees with the almighty Trump needs to be destroyed. I hate the level of polarization in this society.

    Jeez... it is a show with mostly sex jokes. It is about as funny as other shows about sex jokes. The timing is good. She clearly a pro. It might be    OK, it is the best comedy I have ever seen? ... maybe not. But the alt-right trolls are the ones trashing this show. Anyone who disagrees with the almighty Trump needs to be destroyed. It might be fair to give it a 5-8 out of 10 depending on your taste. Seems mostly like the jokes are not hugely insightful or thoughtful... but that is not her style of comedy. I'll give it a 7 to be fair. But you can discount the a large % of the trash reviews as politics.    … Expand

    If a negative review contains an actual critique, fine. But the amount of hate Amy Schumer generates has little to do with her material, She is a provocateur, and these alt-righties stand to lose a lot if she is validated with positive buzz. So they have done what they can, and hunted her with online user reviews. They are afraid. And they should be. She's not a bad comic.     Absolutely garbage. From beginning to end, a waste of time... I'll just re-watch the Office. Positive reviews are solely based on agreeing with her politically but take a step back, or better yet go watch a good comedian's special and realize how awful this one actually is.

    She is absolutely awful and completely unfunny. Blows my mind that netflix wasted money giving her a special, worst 'comedian' of all time in my opinion. Is she trying to appeal to fat SJW's or something? I'll start boycotting any company that gives this awful person money (budweiser, gap and netflix come to mind)

    Wow, lots of people inspired to leave their first review for this special! Myself included! That alone should give you an idea of how provocative Schumer continues to be.

    This special was perfectly fine. Not her best work—it won't reach the highs that The Amy Schumer Show has hit. But all in all, the special is full of perfectly fine jokes! If you know her work, you know what you're in    Wow, lots of people inspired to leave their first review for this special! Myself included! That alone should give you an idea of how provocative Schumer continues to be.

If you know her work, you know what you're in for, which is why I don't get the aghast reviews this special seems to be generating.     This is anything but good TV - NetFlix I would want my monthly fee returned but couild only watch 10 mins - this is inferior work. Schumer missed the mark badly on this show.

    Unimaginative , forced and over the top ( but not in a good way). Did not get through 10 minutes. Her M.O of self depreciation mixed with "GIRL POWER" is a cringe worthy. Eventually she will fade away and hopefully realize that she was just a cash cow for being a slob and a third wave feminist, since that is the cool thing to do now a days.

Her jokes are missing a setup, using filler sound effects to mask the fact that there's nothing humorous about the story being told. Amy Schumer needs another decade of working the open mic circuit so her writing can improve.

    I don't know what the reviewers were watching, but Schumer was neither funny nor insightful. A huge swing and a miss. Maybe that is why none of the big premier pay channels would pick up this special. Netflix will have to do better in the future choosing streaming material.

    This is the worst excuse for a comedy special I have ever seen. Unfunny, gross, lazy and just plain sordid. Combine this with the wretched trailer for the Goldie Hawn movie and sadly I have to say, career over.

    Self-deprecation about weight and looks based on standards she claims not to subscribe to. We've heard it already. Not smart. I still deeply appreciate her though.

    Probably the worst stand-up show I have ever watched. Not funny. Constant vagina jokes that aren't funny. I don't thnk she is even trying anymore. Just say **** 40 or 50 times and people will like it?

    She seemed awkward and unsure of herself. I usually find Amy hilarious but not today. You'd think now that she's rich and famous she could take her time and write something hilarious and thoughtful. Each show should be better than the last. Hopefully she'll learn from this. The leather special was not funny and not worth watching.

    Every user review I've read so far has been spot on, and none of them have been higher than a 2. That actually makes me sad because I've been a fan for a long time. I still am a fan but wow this was bad. And I had just smoked half a bowl too. This is like the 2nd review I've ever written on Metacritic so that, combined with the fact that I was happily stoned, should tell you how trulyEvery user review I've read so far has been spot on, and none of them have been higher than a 2.     I was hoping this was gonna be a more mature different kind of Amy, but two minutes in and it's same old same old, Amy Schumer going for the easy comedic kill with her raunchy jokes. It's almost as if she wrote this standup specifically for really dumb frat boys. I love free speech in comedy, and love some dirty jokes, but Amy does it in a way where it's not funny, but literally gross.I was hoping this was gonna be a more mature different kind of Amy, but two minutes in and it's same old same old, Amy Schumer going for the easy comedic kill with her raunchy jokes.     Did she even prepare a set? She sounded like any drunk girl at a bar. Profoundly DULL and unfunny. Nowhere near the level of quality of her TV show. She is going to alienate her fans if she continues this way.

    I loved Mostly Sex Stuff and her special at the Apollo, but I do not know what happened here. The comedic timing is off with awkward pauses and there doesn't seem to be much content. The first 10 minutes were such a chore to get through. The most memorable thing about this whole special was when she accidentally burps around the 15 minute mark and then doesn't acknowledge it. The only reason that I gave this a 2 instead of a 1 is that the crowd never gets into the show and that probably affected how funny I found it. At the same time though, she never really gave them much to get into the show with so I just don't know. I'm still a fan but this was a swing and a miss for me.… Expand

    I've liked Amy in the past. A lot. But I could not relate to a single thing she said in this 60 minute gross-out session. I was bored by this special. Some of her jokes did not make sense. How did she know her special lady parts had an offensive odor? Is she limber enough to stick her head down there? Or was the smell strong enough to clear an elevator? If it's that bad, somebody needs toI've liked Amy in the past. A lot. But I could not relate to a single thing she said in this 60 minute gross-out session. I was bored by this special. Some of her jokes did not make sense. How did she know her special lady parts had an offensive odor? Is she limber enough to stick her head down there? Or was the smell strong enough to clear an elevator? If it's that bad, somebody needs to get tested for an infection. In the last 40 years I have had zero female friends mention having a vagina odor problem. 100 women surveyed. Survey says . . . XXX. I hung in there despite this rough start, but things never got better. Amy was not funny. Which makes me sad because I love to laugh. I'm old enough to have seen Bill Hicks live in a tiny club. The drinking jokes are getting old, too. Blackout jokes apropos of nothing fell flat. I hope she sobers up, grows up, and retools her act. She even burped loudly! I spent some time with my neighbor's 3 year old grandson this morning, and he did the same thing, right before he told me he had to poop and I handed him back to Grandma.… Expand

    Unorganized and sloppy presentation of material. Relies on shock factor and self deprecation to get a reaction from the audience and doesn't bring anything remotely interesting to this special. Really dumb

    Sadly for true fans of comedy, Amy seems content resting upon her laurels. Now famous and successful, it's as if little effort is required to please her core base who will continually laugh at material once edgy, shocking and quite funny but now simply disappointing. Amy's set included excessive time on her smelly vagina, diarrhea and cum shooting. Between sex and body comedy sheSadly for true fans of comedy, Amy seems content resting upon her laurels. Now famous and successful, it's as if little effort is required to please her core base who will continually laugh at material once edgy, shocking and quite funny but now simply disappointing. Amy's set included excessive time on her smelly vagina, diarrhea and cum shooting. Between sex and body comedy she mentioned the tragic shooting of two women at a theater showing her movie. Again, instead of making a connection with the audience, she simply implied gun owners were stereotypically all hillbillies living in trailers and the law allowed blind people to buy guns. She then concludes that if she can talk about men shooting cum upon her breasts then she could talk about guns. I once heard Patton Oswald talking about a set he did at a casino in which he merely had to stand on the stage and the crowd went wild. He didn't even have to tell one new joke; the fans just loved seeing him. Miss Schumer, it seems, has discovered this truth already. If this had been her first set, she would be unknown. On stage she talked about a man trying to shoot cum upon her moving hand. Let's just all hope Amy Schumer doesn't continue to miss the mark and remembers her salad days (well, salad with pasta on top) and gets back to being the great comic we all know she can be.… Expand

    She’s absolutely as funny as she was two years ago, which was pretty darn funny. But the humor--most of it revolving around sex, body issues and relationships--feels dated.

    Ironically, the dirtier it gets, the less daring it feels. Part of the problem is that she doesn’t drop in enough context from her life of late, and the material feels like it could have come from a set three years ago.

    It's pretty much 85 percent sex jokes. The good news is that all the sex jokes are very funny! And even when Schumer turns her attention elsewhere, she still kills it. [10 Mar 2017, p.62]
