Oct 9, 2018When the season started I was really skeptical because I had no idea how could you possibly make this an 8 episode show based on the premise. I'm just gonna say I'm glad I watched it, characters are relatable and feel like real people. Even if you think mockumentaries are not your thing give this a chance, it might change your mind. It did for me.

Sep 16, 2018Boring and up its own butt with cliched content. The whole thing is entirely unrealistic and overly simplified. I realize its a parody, but it isn't as good as the first season. Nor is it as interesting.

Sep 23, 2018Overly dramatic American humor, which I absolutely did not find to be funny at all. Kudos to the editing and FX team, though. The show looks sharp and fresh :)

Sep 21, 2018it has cliches but it feels like they exist to prove why those cliches exist.
kinda drags on a little bit but overall pretty entertaining and thought provoking -
Nov 2, 2018Great season but not as trend setting as the first. it lacked some of the first seasons depth, charm and edginess... Still very funny and worth your time if you enjoyed the first season.

Jun 12, 2019I didn't really want to watch the second season because I felt that they wouldn't be able to replicate the first one's success and unfortunately I was right. It just didn't feel realistic anymore.

Sep 19, 2018Not as good as the first season. Far too much of it doesn't even have the main guys from the first season, and the rest of the actors are terrible.
It's still entertaining, though. -
Sep 25, 2018What's not to love about this series, it is perfect for binge watching. Hoping it gets renewed.

Sep 23, 2018Still solid. American Vandal's 2nd season is going on strong and does not disappoint. In terms of film making (or in this case television making) it's just as strong as the original. Would recommend for fans.

Jan 1, 2022Season two is in no way disappointing it's mostly a irrelevant rehash of season 1 tremendous story . Taking similar plot twists and characters it fails to leave a mark past "haha this is not bad "

Sep 9, 2019Where Season 1 caught lightning in a bottle, Season 2 fails to catch **** in a cup.

The season is less absurdist than its predecessor, and the majority of its characters are less vividly drawn. ... Yet, as before, the mystery is diverting, filled with nifty twists and perfect for bingeing. And, once again, the show’s creators and performers manage to, almost without us noticing it, shift tones and move between moods. What starts out as an ornate scatalogical lark ends like an episode of “Black Mirror,” as produced by a high-school A.V. club.

American Vandal’s second season has bigger ideas than its first, and the turn toward wistfulness in its final episode feels less forced this time around. But apart from Kevin and DeMarcus Tillman (Melvin Gregg), a black star athlete bused into wealthy St Bernadine’s from a poor neighborhood, Hoop Dreams–style, few of its characters are as well-drawn, and the use of more experienced actors--cast members have recurred on Boardwalk Empire, Sweet/Vicious, UnReal, and L.A. Law--robs it of some of the first season’s amateur authenticity.

Maybe it seems like a stretch to call a show about dick jokes and poop one of the most well-crafted and self-aware works to come out of the last few years, but in season two, American Vandal has only continued to surpass expectations.
