    American Idol sees one of the best judging panels compiled since the shows inception with Cowell and company. Yet, with big star names like Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler joining the ranks and adding tons of credibility and flare to those doling out the props and advice, the contestants feel more manufactured with every season. There may be vocal talent, but a singing competition justAmerican Idol sees one of the best judging panels compiled since the shows inception with Cowell and company. Yet, with big star names like Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler joining the ranks and adding tons of credibility and flare to those doling out the props and advice, the contestants feel more manufactured with every season. There may be vocal talent, but a singing competition just isn't as interesting as it was in its first several seasons. If FOX finds a way to spice up the content there's hope for Idol. Until then, it feels like more filler than killer. I wonder what's happening on The X Factor and The Voice right now...… Expand

    Steven and JLo were burned out from the get go, that's not nice as they were very entertaining in Season 10. Phillip Phillips's audition was good, I thought he'd be great, but in the end he simply couldn't get the melody of any of his song choices right and that kind of turned me off. Colton had one of two good performances (Colton Phillip). Hollie had a couple of good performancesSteven and JLo were burned out from the get go, that's not nice as they were very entertaining in Season 10. Joshua was extremely talented, he should have won, I say that despite not being into his style. I did not watch the season to the end, and don't plan on watching Season 12.… Expand
