In my humble opinion, this should be shown in every history, civics and social studies class from 7th grade on up, in EVERY school across America.
Didn't know what I was beginning to watch, when I turned it on, but, I couldn't stop. Watched all six episodes. It brought every emotion out of me in those six hours. I recommend watching it with your parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren of 10 years old and on up.
Bravo Will Smith!!!

It was done in a classy, entertaining and honest way that showed us things and people from the American past that people need to know about and can learn from. I do take issue with the fact that there was absolutely no mention of the First Nations people. The first culture that the US took the liberty of all but demolishing. They are a very big part of this conversation and I feel apologetic that they weren't even mentioned. This is a shame because I thought it was a great show, but you all seriously missed the mark there... and I wonder why you did that... Expand
