Outstanding entertainment thriller/drama. Rich acting and interplay from the characters. Highly impressed with Stenhouse's craftmanship - subtle, powerful and skilled. Davis and Cohen were a treat to see on screen again. A rewarding cast to watch. I cannot believe America has dumped yet another excellent piece of work!

I've been watching the rest of the shows online and they are just getting better and better! Cannot believe that NBC is replacing this show with The Slap!? Don't they understand that we Americans Like Intrigue, Suspense and Spys? Way to go NBC! As for The Amerikans....that had too much sex for me and Allegiance has at least toned it down. I like more plot than sex ok? Anyway, I hope thatI've been watching the rest of the shows online and they are just getting better and better! Are we supposed to take this show seriously -- or is it just an unfunny comedy? The plot moves forward only because of the insanely intelligent son who has apparently absorbed every piece of knowledge available in the world -- a walking Google/Wikipedia so to speak. The CIA vs. the modern day Russian spies who apparently have agents working on every U.S. street corner. The CIA (this may be the only true-to-life aspect of the show) is totally amateurish and inept. I gave "Allegiance" a "4" only because I was feeling unrealistically generous tonight. Smert Spionam. Nonsense!
The concept is interesting but ... ....
Absurd, unrealistic, unbelievable etc etc ... the writing is terrible and the acting so-so ... seems to be a cheap imitation of the 'Americans' that fails completely.
I am giving the show a '1' because I'm in a good mood.
I understand this show has been canceled ... a wise decision.

I love this show. It carries its tension for the full 45 minutes. Not sure if the characters will end up holding our imagination long term but so far so good.

A shame this had to be cancelled but it was stuffed into a terrible late time slot. Great show that brought me back to television. The lead in is not the greatest and could be partly to blame.

Unwatchable, ridiculous, absurd, stupid. I would rather watch adverts on TV then suffer this show taking screen time. Because at least with adverts, they supposedly were trying to sell something available for purchase. Not something shown as fake.

I am curious what the demographic of this show is made for, assuming its bracket falls into delusional gullible narcissist. I was hoping

I was hoping for a show like, Spooks, or the Americans. Not nonsense, showing live cremation, jumping on to the Sunday roast, because some scared potato wants to deflect rather then be analyzed with having ties to the CIA, borrowing from the rest of the families spy games. Who are paranoid that war is coming to town and had better play dress up.

I couldn't even watch10 minutes on fast forward....Avoid altogether, unless watching those soapbox spies.

Can't reward such an obvious rip off. NBC is on the verge of becoming a cable channel. Actually that might be a great idea. It's worked for AMC and FX.

I am delighted that this show was cancelled. It really creeped me out..reminded me of my grandmother who escaped from Siberia during the Bolshevik revolution. Without her I wouldn't exist and have all the creativity I have.

I guess it doesn't matter if I liked it at this point. Unfortunately, the show has been cancelled after 5 episodes. I like the premise of the show, and it was different. I like the subtle humor integrated within the show as well.

Some scintillating twists bordering on US propaganda geopolitics. Overall, it is badly written with atrocious acting which the director must be partly to blame for. Many events in the major plot are annoying and insult the intelligence. A done and dusted spy thriller lacking credibility.

Allegiance, set in the present-day, is at attempt to be a thoughtful drama about the differences between loyalty to family and loyalty to country, but its atmosphere is as drab as an early John LeCarre novel, without the prickly dialogue or tricky plotting.... And: We lost Parenthood to this?

Even when it’s fun, Allegiance doesn’t do anything The Americans isn’t doing far better.
