    Season 1 had a solid mix of emotion/sport/high school drama. Season 2 turned into a bad soap opera.

    While still hosting some great, gut-wrenching moments, Season 2 of All American is unable to come close to the first, be it as a consequenceWhile still hosting some great, gut-wrenching moments, Season 2 of All American is unable to come close to the first, be it as a consequence of cringe-worthy dialogue, overabundance of storylines, inconsistent tone, awkward pacing, and awkward love... triangles? Squares? I don't even know how to call that.

    The frustrating part is that the story beats are there to (at least) make this a decent season, but the execution is just tragic. I had an insane amount of trouble sitting through most of this season.

    The best I can give it is a 3/10, although this score would be considerably lower if it weren't for some sporadic, masterstroke scenes.    … Full Review »
