Oct 12, 2018Man, I'm super-impressed by the pilot of this show. I fully expected it to be an OC-knockoff, but it's that and more. When will the kid open his eyes and go for the coach's beautiful daughter instead of that not-in-the-same-league shiny object of a girl who is dating his rival wide receiver?? I dabbled in the show, but have now set my season pass!

Oct 21, 2018People everywhere we're excited about this show and now I get why I gotta say if you don't cheer once for this guy you don't have a pulse this is the drama of the year hands down one of the best shows of the fall I can't wait for more

Oct 18, 2018I loved the pilot of this show. While the second episode was much weaker, I am still highly anticipating the rest of the season. The music is spectacular by the way. They chose the tunes very well.

May 4, 2019My husband and I discovered this show on Netflix by accident...had never heard of it..began watching it one night and got sucked in on the first episode. We binged watched the entire season in a week. Excellent well written and very relevant show. The cast is perfection! I was never a huge Taye Diggs fan until now. Amazing job! I would DEFINITELY recommend.

May 25, 2019Phenomenal acting, especially by the actor who plays “Spencer James” (main character). It follows a great story line and is very relateable to highly recruited athletes.

What starts as a fun reminder of just how bankable rags-to-riches stories can be, results in a relevant original series that’s a whole helluva lot of fun--all on its own terms. ... Bre-Z, Logan, and Ezra are all early stand-outs. They’re charming, they listen to each other, and they never lose the intended tone.

All American is not a revelation on the TV landscape, but maybe it’s a step forward in reviving a genre that could use some refreshing. The series isn’t yet as good or groundbreaking as some of its teen drama forebears, but it’s interesting and entertaining enough to deserve the chance to get there.

It's got some good, likable performances and a truly promising lead in Daniel Ezra, and that's enough for a conditional recommendation, though through three episodes I'm not sure All American is settling into its own identity with any real authority.
