    This is a very wholesome show--don't expect complex storytelling or extremely sophisticated humor. Expect light-hearted fun, great characters, and a few good laughs per episode. Plus a few air-blows through your nostrils as bonus. The principal Ava Coleman (played by Janelle James) is my favorite character -- absurdly hilarious.     The Office (US version, not the vastly superior UK original), Modern Family, and Abbott Elementary are basically the exact shame show just transposed in different settings. But, shhh,....don't interrupt the sinking American middle class lulling itself to sleep with an idiotic smile on their face watching a "wholesome" show.

    A great funny show. Relatable characters and just all round fantastic ensemble cast. Enjoy each epsisode more and more.

    It might be a nice show, but it still has bite. In the second season, the jokes come rapidly and are as elaborate as a fake Dragon’s Den competition or as subtle as a well-timed eyeroll. As far as I’m concerned, it’s those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it gags that bring about the biggest laughs.

    It’s hard to pick our favorite part of the return. Gritty? Ava hula-hooping at a big staff seminar? Sheryl Lee Ralph’s post-Emmy glow? It’s all great. And we get to do this again next week, and the week after, and the week after that.
