The second season of the show provides more of the same and is great again, with it being noticeable that the whole season was planned out in advance, unlike the first time around. The main plot was topical then and is still topical today, with the Iraq War still fresh in everyone's minds.

Whereas the first season was personal to Bauer, this is more about protecting his country and his and Palmer's stories are again gripping, with some of the supporting characters also getting great arcs. The subplot involving Kim Bauer and her quest to stop an abusive father, which has nothing to do with the main story and flits from one different, unrelated situation to another isn't particularly great but it doesn't spoil the season

The action packed and considerably better plotted Season 2 of 24 continues the exhilarating thrills and twists of the first season with added suspense and emotion.

Exciting, fun, completely and utterly unbelievable. This is not a show for the squeamish. But a show for America as a whole. Good performances all around. Great plots.

Having retired from CTU following the traumatic events at the conclusion of the first season, David Palmer (who is now President of the United States) calls agent Jack Bauer back into action in order to stop terrorists from detonating a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles. Introduced into the situation is Kate Warner, a woman who ends up getting vital information related to CTU's mission.

It’s pretty clear, even before the whole ‘cougar’ incident, that the writers had no idea what to do with Kim Bauer and the inter-office politics used to fill in time were already getting old at this point. All that is forgiven however in a season chock full of twists, turns and edge of your seat moments that made it easy to binge all 24 episodes in less than a week!

The show gets even better as the stakes have gotten way higher. One of the most action packed and dramatic shows to watch. This season has the worst teri story line

The second season of 24 kept the outstanding action and script from the first season, the series is good for not being so patriotic and for being directed.

24 strains credulity here and there... and some of the season premiere's doomsday dialogue smacks of parody. But the real-time format builds tension week-to-week as well as scene-to-scene, and Sutherland keeps adding depth to his portrayal of a man staggering slightly with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
