I wanted to like this, but the incompetence of CTU each hour is making me weary. I'm at the point where I'm hoping the John Donovan and his insufferable wife Rebecca get taken out by the evil terrorists and the whole thing gets wrapped up by John Carter and his brother's posse. 8 or 9 hours in and CTU has gotten NOTHING right.

The absence of Keifer Sutherland as the lead actor in this remake of "24" makes this show a mediocre carbon copy compared to the original series. On the positive side perhaps it will get better as the show progresses.

Honestly, this show just feels like a poorly directed remake of the original. In the original, the viewers got a look into Jack's head, our new hero seems to copy Jack's push-forward-never-look-back attitude without any reason as to why he would take on this same mentality -- it seems a bit forced. "24: Legacy" maintains the thrill, adrenaline rush, and rocket pacing of the original "24"; however, the plot feels stale, and the dialogue and characters are unrealistic and predictable. Overall, "24: Legacy" is unmemorable stupid fun.

As much as I enjoyed Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer and each season's gripping stories, I tried very hard to get into this 24 Legacy but it failed to work for me.
I gave it a number of tries but each weeks episodes just got more and more gratuitously violent without having the same exciting content as before. I had been saving episodes on my DVR but stopped watching and flushed the last

Damn this is hard. This actually started out great. I felt something akin to what I felt with the original 24. The mystery, the action, the anticipation... Until Eric broke the chair he was tied to (he was sitting) by hitting a man behind him with the chair. That was when I realised I was in for a mess. '24: Legacy' fails to conjure the charisma of its predecessor, but it isn't such a mess as many try to portray it. It can be entertaining even with that huge amount of flaws. There are some pretty interesting sequences on the episode and so, for that, I actually won't be saying this is the worst thing I've ever seen.

I really looked forward to this show, and the first episode wasn't too bad. But now that I've watched the next 2 episodes, I find it to be disappointing. I just can't get past the main character-he's not even close to Jack Bauer. He needs to have some grit and confidence, and command respect, but he just doesn't. Wow, this show is bad. I rarely see so many plot holes and bad scripts. Its so unrealistic that it could be satire. But I miss the punch lines between all the stereotype BS. I hope, people will not take it as an explanation for how things are. but the plot seems to serve the FOX agenda very well.

What a waste of time and resources

This is the worst possible timing to reboot this show with a Muslim terrorist plotline. It posits that every Muslim should be feared as a potential terrorist, because there are sleeper cells all across the country waiting for the call to launch attacks on America. What was Fox thinking, launching this in the era of Trump, and after the Superbowl? It's a horribly irresponsible decision, and it could inspire more right-wing terrorist attacks on innocent Muslims like we saw in Quebec recently. Expand

It is unreasonable for anyone to expect Carter to be like Jack Bauer or to act like him. It's natural to get so attached to a character/actor that one believes the film begins and ends with them. I also think that the current racially charged atmosphere makes it difficult for some to accept that a Black hero can actually lead the charge against terrorists. They are accustomed seeing White males in this role.....that may be the real issue some have with Carter. Nevertheless, he is doing a great job in "HIS" role, he is not filling in for Bauer. Expand

Will Keep this short. Solid acting, great script, great plot, drama, mystery, suspense, a grittier version of the original 24. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Wow, this is bad. Really bad. The cast of this series has less charisma than a sack of decomposing potatoes. I though the last few seasons of 24 were derivative, but this has sunk the entire franchise into new, more oxygen-deprived depths...

10 Episodes watched, and in my opinion it still feels like 24, yes it takes some getting used to, especially with the new cast but this is only the first season of Legacy and I think it'll incorporate well with the previous seasons of the original 24.

Awful Cast. Corey Hawkins is not credible at all as a former ranger and an oyster have more acting skills than him .......... a big disappointment but what can you do ? nobody can do the job like Jack Bauer !!!!!

I so badly wanted this to be good - I loved the original 24 Series (all of them) although the most recent movie was pretty lame. This series though just never gets going. The characters are ok but the storyline just never left the pulse racing....I was never desperate to get to the next episode like I was with the original series. The series continues to exploit hot-button issues for pulse-pounding fantasy--albeit in a manner that, when contrasted to the more modern (if equally silly) Homeland, comes across as clunky and outdated.
