Terrible... it sucks.. nothing to do with the previous 3 seasons.. The constant abusive visions are a pain in the ass.. you stop caring and paying attention because everything is a blo0dy hallucination... really???

Did not „enjoy“ this season. The weakest one in my opinion. It was a weird mess of so many things and topics, but didn’t amount to much in the end. Still depressing through and through. +1 Point for the many gay characters. My tip: just watch episode 9
But I enjoyed the cast a lot and liked some character moments.

It's always been annoying, but until now, the strengths have made up somewhat for the missteps. But frustration overwhelms whatever highlights there are in Season 4. Silliness takes over from empathy and there are scenes where I wondered why the hell I was persisting.

y’all can hate on the show all you want, but it’s your fault for taking it so seriously. take it for what it is, a guilty pleasure trash drama. it’s so enjoyable as that. this season was so entertaining i can’t even begin to explain. everything is so outlandish and wonderful. i’ve never had more fun watching something in my life. 10000000/10

Arguably better than the past two seasons, but nowhere near the standard set by the first season. The final season is still plagued by inconsistent pacing, unsubstantial writing, poor execution of themes and topics, and improper treatment of its characters. Despite this, the strength of the show lies in its cast, particularly Dylan Minnette as Clay, who continues to anchor and hold this show together whenever it threatens to fall apart with a series-best, if not career-best performance. Minnette channels all required and expected emotions from someone going through mental deterioration and severe anxiety rooted from traumatic experiences and lots of secrets buried deep. Among the supporting cast, Brandon Flynn as Justin, Miles Heizer as Alex and Gary Sinise as Clay's therapist Dr. Ellman also give outstanding performances in this season. The way the story finds closure is also satisfying, and a more linear structure in the storytelling makes it slightly easier to understand as compared to Season 3. The conversations between Clay and Dr. Ellman, the relationship of Alex with both Winston and Charlie, the continuing struggle of Justin, the development of Ani from the previous season through her friendship with Jess, the fun and elegant prom scenes are among the highlights of this season. Setting aside its flaws and shortcomings in terms of plot development, genre shifts from teen drama to murder mystery to psychological thriller, and its lackluster treatment of sensitive subject matters such as sexual violence, police violence, racism and drug abuse, the show still presented a handful of timeless and relevant lessons for today's youth on forgiveness, love, letting go and moving on from past pains and mistakes. STILL RECOMMEND THIS SHOW. Expand

Probably the worst 10-episode excuse of a season I've ever had the regret of watching. 9 hours of show for nothing. Really, nothing. Just a death here and there, a scene that makes you believe a serial killer is loose, another one that kind of makes you believe there's an alien robot invasion going on, some break ups and make ups... but it doesn't go ANYWHERE. Anywhere at all. No relevantProbably the worst 10-episode excuse of a season I've ever had the regret of watching. 9 hours of show for nothing. Really, nothing. Anywhere at all. No relevant points, no plot twists, no crying moments, no laughing moments, no happy moments, no sad moments. Feels like a monotonous album, a 1000 page book, a rushed and lazy script mixed with ok dialogues and mediocre acting from the main characters. Just wow. 13 Reasons Why managed to go from a 9/10 season to a 6, to a 5 to a 1. Congrats! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A season past the first isnt really justified, character development over the time was simply stupid, with characters going back to where they were for no real reason but to justify things happening. Not only that, the show became this typical teenage drama with teenagers doing wild and daring stuff because of reasons and to comply with most high school tv shows, yet in the last 2 episodes writers used Justin Foley as a mechanism to bring things to an end, while sad its kinda unbelievable how his disease went and that, but still a way to just kill this suffering and give all the kids misery an end.

As a season starts like a **** but using some arguably bad writing choices comes to a good enough end for what the show became.

Honestly this one is the worst season without a doubt. They started the first seasons trying for you to understand the character and make people understand consequences of a suicide. Now everything is different they glorify bad conducts, they say the sistem is the problem when the characters are the main problem by all their awful descicions. The worst part is that the characters are poorly written and are just there to give a bad example to the watchers. At last this series try to include different groups and races, but they only stereotype everyone and makes some groups look that they are all bad.

This season is slightly better than the previous one, still a lot better than the second one, and yet it continues to be remarkably bad. It is as if there was nothing left from Season 1. A complete waste of time.

13 Reasons Why has become nothing more than an absurdly melodramatic, borderline infuriating soap opera that simply does not understand the youth it is attempting to reach.
