It’s really a shame that EA pushed this one out the door to make launch because it truly shows. The lack of courses is pitiful and the game will get old quickly.

Do you want a near-perfect combination of both, and the game that takes on almost all the qualities of a successful launch title? Do you want this reviewer’s most enjoyed game on the Xbox 360? Get Need for Speed. Be the most wanted.

If Madden NFL 06 is the blueprint of what’s to come from this series, then we as gamers are definitely in for a treat next year and even further down the line.

A decent gem in a genre so diluted by horribly rushed games, or other games that maybe already done what this game does.

NFS: MW is still in the business of immersing you in the world of illegal street racing and it does a decent job of that.

It has everything a gamer asks for: a great story, art design, excellent graphics, HD support, excellent sound, awesome gameplay and a creative premise all rolled into a package that is extremely entertaining.

Replicating the playing of an actual guitar was no easy task, but Harmonix pulled it off with flying colors.

Although the online portion of the game is clearly the best part, the single-player hasn't been neglected by any means. If you are a Star Wars nut or looking for some hectic online action, go out and buy Star Wars Battlefront II, because it is quite possibly one of the best Star Wars games ever released.

For those of you sticking with the Xbox this holiday season, I highly recommend picking up Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, as it is most definitely one of the better shooters released on the Xbox this year.

When it comes down to it, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat lays a solid foundation for the series on the consoles, but doesn't quite live up to the high expectations we had for it.

The gameplay is surprisingly addictive and there's just the right amount of humor to remind you that this is, after all, a takeoff of just about every cheesy zombie flick ever made. The one thing I will say, however, is that the game was painfully short.

Although the new rock and roll theme is fantastic, there isn't really anything else that is new from the previous games.

Those of you who loved The Suffering probably won't enjoy this title quite as much. The scares and suspense have been replaced with nonstop action, and a story that just doesn't compare.

A very good basketball game. There are things that could've been done better but doing one of the things just right, like the Superstar characteristics, seems to make all that moot. Even with the noticeably skewed player ratings, the game is quite fun.

It gets even better with the new feedback system that has been implemented. At the conclusion of each game you play online, you can either rate your opponent positive, negative or neutral.

I almost guarantee that if more games paid this much attention to narrative, the comparison of the gaming industry to the movie industry would become more valid than ever before.

Builds upon everything that was so spectacular about Burnout 3, and just takes it all to a whole new level. It's fast, gorgeous and just an absolute blast to play.

Although some Rainbow Six veterans might not enjoy Lockdown, it's one of the best online games available for the Xbox. Those of you sick of shooting the Covenant should check out Lockdown, because it has a lot to offer.

Madden NFL 06 ultimately turns out to be a mixed bag of tricks, and your impression of it will likely depend on a few different things - not the least of which will be your previous experience with the series.
