When it comes to genre-blenders, few games do as good of a job as Galacide with its clever combination of shooting and puzzles.

Gonner2 is definitely a fitting sequel but it doesn't quite feel like a substantial step up from the original and its action is far too chaotic.

Its clunky platforming can sure be frustrating but A Tale of Paper still provides a memorable and captivating adventure.

Area 86 provides some fun sandbox escape room gameplay yet it doesn't quite offer a rewarding campaign with its open-ended nature.

Foregone is certainly a solid 2D action game with some nifty RPG elements that'll keep you striving to be the best warrior you can be.

Playing The Jackbox Party Pack 7 is like smelling a fart after a delicious meal. You'll be reminded of good times but it definitely stinks.

"I'll take interactive game shows for 100, Alex." "This video game is intuitive and can be a lot of fun yet its glitches will make you laugh and occasionally become frustrated." "What is Jeopardy! PlayShow?" "Correct."

ScourgeBringer is a fun but extremely difficult roguelike that'll appeal to a very niche crowd. If you enjoy a soul-crushing challenge then go ahead but be warned; it's one of the most frustratingly difficult games out there and it punishes you heavily for your mistakes.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm offers a top-notch adventure with clever situations and mechanics being introduced at nearly every turn. It's also an impressive step up from the first game so I'm looking forward to what Cornfox & Bros. create next.

The highly competitive puzzle action of Touhou Spell Bubble is exciting stuff that cleverly incorporates rhythm gameplay and a satisfying layer of strategy. If you enjoy these kinds of games then you'll certainly have a blast with what this adorable puzzler has to offer.

Amnesia: Rebirth is a decent horror game yet it suffers from underwhelming and predictable payoffs. It simply isn't as good as its predecessor so if you're going into it expecting something as good as Amnesia was 10 years ago; you're going to be disappointed. Otherwise, it's a good horror game that will scratch whatever itch you have for virtual frights.

Part Time UFO is the best game I've ever played where you control an alien ship while completing mundane tasks. Okay, that didn't sound like a glowing endorsement but it is a cool little game and it's even more fun when you play it with a chum.

It's almost 5:40 so I should really wrap this review up. In short, Angry Video Game Nerd 1 & 2 Deluxe is a pretty good compilation. On the other hand, adjusting to its crap factor will sometimes make you rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in your ear.

If you're a 2D puzzle adventure aficionado who doesn't already own Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty on one of the half dozen consoles that it's currently available for then it'll make for a worthy purchase but those who do have it will find little reason to get it again on Switch.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe may not be a huge step up from its previous incarnation but it's such a wonderful adventure that it's a must-have for anyone who missed out on the Wii U version. If only Switch had a GamePad peripheral.
