A downside: there is no way to communicate with your opponents in game or in the lobby, so you can’t really get a gauge for who you’re playing, which can lead to the looser disconnects that everyone loves so much.- VGPub

Offers up some great gaming thrills, but with a few hiccups. Fans of the book and/or upcoming movie will get a lot out of this game, while non-fans really won't be missing much.- VGPub

I don’t care how much you loved the film, do not buy this game. If your children absolutely loved the movie, then give Zathura a rental at most for them to get their thrills.- VGPub

While Curse of Darkness may arguably be better than "Lament of Innocence," it still isn’t as good as the side-scrolling entries. There’s just something about the translation into the 3D environments that makes Castlevania lose its charm.- VGPub
