Unspottable is everything you want from a couch party game. It's easy to pick up and play, and there is the potential for all sorts of shenanigans. Other party games might offer more variety and crucially, online modes, but Unspottable sticks to its core and is a whole lot of fun.

Animal Farm remains an important story, and this retelling in game format feels incredibly timely and poignant. With lots of ways the game can play out depending on your choices, you can revisit Orwell's themes as well as being able to dive even deeper into them.

TENS! has simple controls, a unique combination of puzzle elements, and a challenging difficulty curve - but its lack of varied multiplayer makes it a very brief experience unless played sporadically. If you're mathematically-minded, don't mind listening to the same soundtracks over and over again, and don't care for the loose narrative linking the puzzles together, then TENS! will win you over.

While it may get a bit repetitive over time, Ninja Legends is a lot of fun. It’s fast, it’s fluid and when you pull off amazing feats of ninja-like badassness, it feels superb. Just play it in short bursts and you will not go wrong.

CrossKrush is a short, compact puzzler that will entertain its players for as long as its ten levels last. There's some replay value in its various modes and multiplayer, but if you've memorised the solutions to each puzzle or perfected your strategy, there's no challenge to the gameplay. With limited content and often-frustrating controls to boot, this is a game suited only for casual playthroughs.

The Crown Tundra gives you a lot more engaging content than The Isle of Armor, but it's still a bit lacking in polish. If you like Legendary Pokemon though, this is the DLC for you.

While I greatly appreciated and enjoyed the story, music, and ambiance of ikenfell, the repetitive nature of combat began to wear on me towards the end despite initially standing out as a fresh take on a classic. Patience will be paramount for those looking to enjoy this gem that is just lacking a bit of polish.

Cute visually, but lacking the gameplay depth of its predecessor, Space Crew is a slow grind that offers glimpses at what could've been. A decent follow up to Bomber Crew, Runner Duck's latest game aims for the stars but just gets out of the atmosphere.

Cake Bash is a fun party game with a lot of potential, but with relatively few bash modes and minigames, it can feel repetitive after a while. The limited progression and fast unlockables also mean that when your completion hits 100%, you may see little reason to continue playing. However, with the freedom to play against bots, local friends or online, if looking for a cute, quick and easy party game to jump into, Cake Bash may fit the bill.

I initially loved the survival and building aspects of The Walking Dead Onslaught. Unfortunately it wore thin quite quick. I would have liked more depth and more variety but what we have is fun, immersive, zombie bashing good time. I just recommend playing in short bursts otherwise it will get repetitive very quickly.

Kirby Fighters 2’s repetitive single-player gameplay and online issues make it hard to recommend. You might like it if you’re a die-hard Kirby fan but it’s lacking in quite a few ways.

As Far As The Eye is a fun little turn-based, strategy game set in a vibrant world full of adorable creatures. Whilst there's a lot to learn and manage, this quickly becomes a rewarding and satisfying experience.

Praetorians HD may not be as advanced or detailed as games that have come since but it is an incredibly effective throwback and one I greatly enjoyed.

In many ways Commandos 2 HD looks and feels like a classic real-time strategy game but it is not fit for purpose on a console.

I enjoyed playing Worm Jazz, but it's not a game I'm eager to return to. It has some fun levels but it's lacking in variety. If you want a fun, laid-back puzzle game it's not bad at all but, unlike some worms, I wasn't hooked.

While it is reliant on grinding and lacks the sort of customisation that the simulation fans crave, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the most entertaining WWE games in years.

BPM is a well-executed, unique take on the rhythm-roguelite genre that has a lot to offer – if you can get accustomed to its demanding gameplay hook.

This is a fun little game for fans of horror, puzzle, or visual novels. It takes the best parts of these genres and makes them into a smooth experience, filled with creepy music, lovely pixel art, and engaging puzzles.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered sadly isn’t going to appeal to new fans due to its poor multiplayer and outdated gameplay mechanics, while those who played the original may find their nostalgic memories aren’t quite as satisfying as they remember.

Bright, colourful and completely insane. No Straight Roads is like nothing I have played in recent memory and I enjoyed my time with it. It may be a bit much for some and at times it has a few performance issues but overall if you are into weird games, brawlers or rhythm games, give it a shot you might like it. Let's rock!

West of Dead adds enough new elements to an overdone genre to keep things interesting and the visual design is truly stunning. If it had more to offer in terms of exploration and map size along with some more enemies to shoot, this would be even better.

Ever Forward is a satisfying and pretty puzzle game, with a compelling narrative. However it suffers with being a bit too frustrating at times when the precision required is made difficult with clunky controls.

Double Kick Heroes is an explosive action rhythm-based game filled with original and licensed metal music to enjoy. Take on an active role of driving and shooting with the Gundillac, and double kicking your way through each epic song. Tour with your bandmates, kill the undead, and journey into hell itself. Feast on all that is metal, with over the top violence, foul language, and insane metal music, all with satirical wit. You really won't find any other game quite like this. Get out there and SHRED!!!

This game is a bit of a mixed bag, whilst a lot of thought has gone into the mechanics and non-traditional choices surrounding the combat, it can feel very flat at times.

Enjoyable, fun and a reminder of days past. Ultracore is quite simple and sometimes difficult but a refreshing break from overly-bloated games of the modern era.

Skully is light-hearted, old-skool fun. In an era of online shooters and battle royale titles it is a breath of fresh air. At times difficult but not overly so, it will respect your platforming skills and have you performing daring feats. Nothing is incredibly unique here but what you have is executed well. Skully is not my favourite game of the year but fun distraction nonetheless.

As a fan of the anime and manga series, I found enjoyable immersion in Fairy Tail for the PS4 and recommend any fans to give it a chance. Other than this fan service, though, there is little to compel a player to continue in this game past the first few hours due to the repetitiveness of battles, missions, and story tropes.

Despite numerous issues, House Flipper is a slow burn that will frustrate and comfort you, making it a decent game to add to your Switch collection.
