While seasoned gamers will be turned off by the game's countless cheap deaths, bad controls, inept camera and uninspired gameplay, Crash rookies might find something to like.- PSX Extreme

Raccoon City is just [p]lain boring to me. There's nothing here I want to return to. The game can be fun with other people, there are a few patented Resident Evil scares, and the controls work fine (provided you're willing to put up with some clunkiness). But everything else about it is really…I dunno, "meh."- PSX Extreme

The racing is fun for a while, and the appeal of launching your driver like a human dart can’t be denied, but even those who love that aspect wish you could skip the drawn out animation after awhile.- PSX Extreme

The game's got a bevy of problems, including boring gameplay, a horrendous framerate, and lousy aiming.- PSX Extreme

Beowulf does very little right and fails to capture the stylish action and mysticism of the film. The cut-scenes and sound are often way off, there's a great deal of choppiness when the game tries to shift between non-interactive and interactive play, and the inconsistency of the sound is unsettling.- PSX Extreme

Golden Axe: Beast Rider isn’t a very good game. It’s not quite as bad as some critics have claimed – it can be fun for a little while, and the combat system is relatively ambitious – but it’s certainly not worth your $60.- PSX Extreme

Simply put, this just isn't worth your money. This would've been an acceptable game back on the PlayStation and maybe even early PlayStation 2 days, but the level of shallowness in game mechanics, the poor visuals, the boring story, the lousy audio, and the awful controls make it totally unacceptable for this generation.- PSX Extreme

NBA is beyond lackluster and barebones, it’s downright sloppy. Launch title or not, this may very well be 989’s worst sports effort since the first PS2 "GameDay" title.- PSX Extreme

If it isn't obvious by now, I'll make it painfully obvious here...this is a terrible game with no redeemable merits.- PSX Extreme

Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT 2 is little more than the original in disguise, and it's a poor disguise, at that. It suffers from the exact same problems, and we'd actually prefer the original because at least that one was a little more straightforward.- PSX Extreme

NeverDead rocks with the music and the visuals can be a treat but beyond that, it's not much fun. There are just too many problems that hinder one's enjoyment, and those problems are critical because they translate to faultless deaths.- PSX Extreme

Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos has a few good ideas and takes a decent stab at producing a fishing RTS of a certain kind. But controlling the boat sucks, the mini-games aren't exactly engrossing, and the total lack of intensity drags the entire experience down.- PSX Extreme

Racing games are supposed to be games of skill, not chance. Sonic Riders, despite all of its shortcuts and power-up items, feels like a game of chance. What's more, it's also a real pain in the ass to play.- PSX Extreme

If you desperately want to try something new and are willing to put up with a totally disappointing production, maybe you'll want this when it drops down to a budget price.- PSX Extreme

I did expect lackluster technical aspects, but I also expected a fun, bouncy little adventure. Instead, I got nothing like that, so I ended up with a concept that didn’t fit the spirit of Garfield, and while the controls and design should be commended to a point, the rest is just too boring and flawed to bother with.- PSX Extreme

A very poorly done game, that suffers from uninspired gameplay, poor track design, redundancy, and innovation. Furthermore, gamers who enjoy a decent looking title will find that MX vs. ATV Untamed is one of the worst visual offenders out there on the PlayStation 2, as it features an absurd lack of texture detail and a never ending supply of ugly.- PSX Extreme

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra fails to deliver the goods on any conceivable level, and it’s simply because the production is mediocre in terms of both technicals and gameplay.- PSX Extreme

The game suffers from a decided lack of control, the fixed camera should’ve been completely reformatted, the environments are unappealing, the story isn’t worth following, and the gameplay as a whole falters big time.- PSX Extreme

Cars Race-O-Rama takes a good concept and fails to implement it properly. The idea comes up well short due to erratic and somewhat unreliable physics, an overly bland atmosphere, a sense of definite repetitiveness, and a lack of mechanical upgrades that could’ve made the experience richer.- PSX Extreme
