A game with much to like, but not enough to enjoy regularly.

Nightfall doesn’t really bring anything new game mechanic wise to the Guild Wars franchise, but it does offer some beautiful environments and cultural inventiveness to an otherwise bland fantasy genre.

The new additions lack enough substance to make Zero Hour worth the investment for those who weren’t sold on the original.

If you have played the original Fable and still own an xbox, I would recommend waiting for the xbox release of The Lost Chapters. If you have not played Fable and won’t be disappointed by the relatively short time required to beat the game, then buy it.

A great way to add new travel options to your existing Sim City 4 infrastructure, with a somewhat gimmicky U-Drive-It mode.

For "Giants" veterans, don't expect too much from A&D, as it isn't half as special as its precursor, but I would recommend playing it if only for the fantastic cutscenes.

A disappointment. Not as good as the original. This is a series that has definitely lost something from its Interplay roots.

The best of its genre, which isn't saying a lot to be honest, but it will definitely appeal if this is the kind of thing you enjoy. Unfortunately, Enigma's niche appeal doesn't make it a particularly attractive proposition to anyone else.

An interesting arcade/simulation mix that is restrained from greatness by a few integral inadequacies. There has never been such a fine line between enjoyment and annoyance. Only consider playing it if you have a decent wheel.

Great for a weekend of Star Wars geekery with a bunch of friends, offering solid fun for the first four or five hours. After that, well, to impersonate Yoda: whether or not to own it you will want, only the future will tell.

In the end Rush for Berlin is a less entertaining version of Codename: Panzers that looks a bit better and has a few moments of intense combat but mostly comes up short in this department.

Despite my initial aversion, this game turned out to be quite entertaining, if not revolutionary in any way. A must have for C&C fans, and a lot of fun for FPS players.

The switch to 3D was a welcome addition, but one saddled with camera and control issues.

There may be an audience for this game made up of hardcore fans of the point and click genre, but it’s not anything that the majority of us can’t live without.

If you like the WW2 shooters and prefer the stealth and sniper aspects then this game is for you. Want something revolutionary? Then keep looking.

A very good tactical simulator that will appeal to all players, at all levels.

This episode has the shortest playtime and smallest laughs-per-dollar-spent ratio, and it cribs many elements from the previous episodes. Only worth playing if the following episodes improve greatly.

Despite some improvements, the series has clearly fallen behind the competition.

This game gets a low rating because it is basically the same game as last year. To top it all off, there is less content in the PC version than the other versions.

I don't see anyone anticipate a co-worker saying, "man, I wish 5pm would hurry up and get here. I want to get home and play Secrets of the Ark" in the near future. But I can see the adventure fans finding something of value buried in there somewhere with Mary of Magdalene.

The gameplay just doesn't have the excitement it could have without the lenient physics model.

Crusader Kings has a lot of potential: the underlying historical model is a gem. However, when all is said and done, games need to be playable: and there’s some way to go here.

With varied missions, nice visuals, and an awesome musical score Commandos 3 is a game you very much want to enjoy, but in the end there are too many issues to keep you from fully feeling satisfied.

Island Extreme Stunts will give old Lego fans, as well as little ones who have just taken to these classic toys, the delight of finally seeing those little Lego guys come to life.

Not a terrible game, but far from a good game, DarkStar One finds itself right in the middle, orbiting the planet mediocre.

With graphics and play modes that live up to what you expect from an EA Sports title, but gameplay that is seriously lacking, NBA Live 06 is mediocre at best.

It's the mechanics that ultimately bring Septerra Core down into the realms of mediocrity. The lack of auto-notes, the handling of NPC conversations, the fumbling around on the exploration maps along with feeling like you're advancing the plot more by luck than skill all contribute to whittling down the amount of fun you have in the game.

A short but pleasureable romp through France in the shoes of the best girl detective in the world.

Definitely worth playing for adventure fans, or gamers curious for something different.

Unfortunately, this long-awaited sci-fi shooter suffers from sub-par graphics, simply god-awful controls, run of the mill third person shooter gameplay and a dull storyline.

A buzzing, colorful and ultimately fun strategy game that lacks the bells and whistles to really turn it into something special.

Gets props for delving into WWI’s legendary Flying Circus, a part of history which, sadly, has been almost totally forgotten by most developers. It is just too bad the game itself has so many historical faux paus and extremely relaxed physics and flight models, even for an arcade flyer.

Average graphics and sound with repetitive gameplay, and you’re left with a mediocre product. SOV has it's moments, but is otherwise uninspired.

What hurts this game more than anything else, is that it could have been so much better.

For Harry Potter enthusiasts, EA did a semi-decent job at creating an imaginary sport.

Didn't the developers play "IL-2 Sturmovik"? They should, so they can see how it's supposed to be done.

Even if you loved The Matrix, the same may not hold true for this MMORPG. We're over it, and by the looks of it so are they.

A sub-par lite simulation racing game that tries to be much more, but ends up falling smack on it’s ass at every attempt.

Its beautiful scenery and personable characters will definitely grab the player. However, its immediate lack of challenge and extremely short amount of playtime are definitely hurtful to the overall quality of the game.

There is a slight educational element to the game and it’s pretty enough to hold some kids’ interest for a little while. You could also, however, do much better.

I was utterly disappointed. The game looks great on paper, but was created with mediocrity in mind.

One of those games that we see all the time. It’s not great, it’s not horrible, it’s ok. And that’s not always a good thing.

They seem to have removed much of the delicate strategic balancing which made the original so much more than a squad-based tactical game, and many of the tactical elements which made it stand head and shoulders above resource-management games.

DTR’s good points are largely overshadowed by its enormous faults. Die hard fans of Max Payne and its sequel might find something to enjoy here, but then again it would be difficult for them to take such a big step down.

Its many positives cannot escape the pull of its non-intuitive interface and plodding pace.

I do not recommend Moto Racer 3 to anyone over the age of twenty-one.

Suffers from the same thing as most MMORPGs out there, a lack of things to do besides the monotonous.

A half-baked "Rome: Total War" wannabe that just fails to make the grade.

There are plenty of modes, surfaces, and players, combined with some sharp visuals, but unfortunately, the slow gameplay and weak intelligence of opponents dampened the overall experience for me.

A sim that is not for everybody. A smorgasbord of pleasure for train geeks. The cure for insomnia for the rest of us. Add or subtract 20 points from the score, depending on which camp you fall into.

Aviation history buffs will absolutely love this game, but the rest of us should wait for the promised patches and upgrades.

Easy to get into and not overly complicated.

The core for a good role playing game is evident, it just lacks the polish that we hardcore gamers have come to expect from our RPG's.

The end result feels like a few mini games pieced together to make a whole that isn’t quite... whole.

Caters to hardcore puzzle gamers. It’s a well-produced puzzle/adventure game, albeit with a weak story, but newbies to the genre should definitely know what they’re getting into.

If you absolutely love story-driven horror type games then this may be worth a look. Otherwise, don't even think about it.

It seems very unpolished in its current state, and while patches might fix some of the more egregious problems, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to pull the title up from its current mediocrity.

A good first effort from Rebelmind Games that is worth every cent of the twenty bucks it will cost you - but not much more.

A potentially decent FPS that is marred by shoddy AI, repetitive gameplay, and some serious programming bugs.

A more significant problem, though, is that the gameplay just isn’t much fun. You’ll spend a lot of time running (slowly) from place to place, undertaking repetitive quests, such as fetching a list of items, killing all the undead in an area, or retrieving a large number of wolf pelts.

A somewhat decent dog fighting game, yet the slow pace, dull story, and awkward controls bring it down.

Goes a long way in making EverQuest accessible to casual RTS fans. Hardcore fans on the other hand could find the game to be too simple, and focused on too small a scale. Creation of units is slow, and mines run out often, so if you don’t mind expanding your force for most of the mission you will find an entertaining game in Lords of Everquest.

Space fans should use the free trial, and science fiction fans might want to read the story, but paying for the game probably isn’t worth it in the long run.

Though the Hobbit does decent job in recreating the events of J.R. Tolkein's famous book of the same name, simplistic objectives and an overall easy quest hurt an otherwise average game.

The mold is nothing but restrictive, choking off a good idea with subpar graphics and a general feel of incompleteness. This idea deserved better.

Great for old-school action fans. Repetitive and dull for everyone else.

Infernal is not a good game. In fact, it's below average. Skip this one.

Despite a few flaws and a slight learning curve most people will enjoy Void War for what it is, a fast paced single player space shooter with gameplay reminiscent of Asteroids.

The Adventure Company's latest mystery has some good ideas, but is often poorly executed and frustrating to play.

For those that are looking for just a little bit more of the genre, and love deep stategy games this could be right up your alley, but for the average armchair warrior this may be a bit beyond the range of your interests.

Just like that girl you've chatted with on the Internet but have never met, an up-close inspection reveals several character flaws that make the overall product an undesirable option.

Though beautiful and relatively faithful to the books, it is not the most creatively accomplished game and does little to capture the genius of the novel.

Entertaining while it lasts, but not innovative in gameplay or storyline.

If you can manage to recognize its underlying tongue-in-cheek nature, Postal 2: Share the Pain can become much more fun to play and maybe even, dare we say, enjoy – at least for a time.

Scores marks for trying to take "The Sims" on and adding new elements. Looses them again for bad implementation and general rough finish.

The story is as full of holes as a bullet ridden block of Swiss cheese.

Not legendary by any means, this game is a good one to pass the time with. It's intense action should draw you in, even if the less than stellar graphics and the subpar production values do not.

And while the campaigns are challenging and engaging, it comes down to the fact that it’s really just more of the same. Then again, if it isn’t broken, why fix it?
