Your furball is far too floaty and controlling him becomes an exercise in anger management as he bumps into one obstacle after another, some of which are difficult to spot.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

The greatest character and planet creation kit ever. If the exploration had been better this would be gold but then you'd probably be paying £30 for it.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

Shinobi won't be to everyone's tastes since we're now in an age where games are expected to be easy enough for everyone. But if you like the idea of a game repeatedly handing your backside to you until you learn the ins and outs, Shinobi will give you many hours of fun.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

This was an iPhone game and the controls can be fiddly. You might put up with that in multiplayer but not during a bombardment...- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

The only annoyance is that it takes so long to restart a level, especially when it's so easy to fail. So forget the 3D - this is everything a good puzzle game should be. Simple to play, addictive, challenging and a little bit frustrating.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

Like many NES games, TwinBee is very difficult and there are no continues - but it never seems unfair so even if you're getting pummeled, you'll feel like going back in for more punishment.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

The brutal difficulty level makes it an acquired taste and it may seem unfairly tough. But Ikaruga fans might find it short when they defeat the final fifth level within an hour. Still, for just 500 Points, this is a good option.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

It's so dated and slow it rarely feels exhilarating when you avoid a laser blast by millimetres and take out a boss.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

Quality gameplay, but, heartbreaking though it is, hard to recommend when you can get it far cheaper elsewhere.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

You'll find it tough to unlock all 101 games. Not that you'd want to bother because they're so abysmal, not even of the standard of your average Flash game.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

EscapeVektor looks good but lacks charm, and just going up, down, left and right over lines is a little boring. Solid retro gaming, but with a lingering feeling of style over substance.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

Skyward Sword stands as an ode to a series that has endured all of recent gaming history. It marks the dizzying pinnacle of both the Zelda series and motion-controlled gaming itself. It's a huge accomplishment that, even by Nintendo's own record, stands out as one of their finest.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

There's a certain amount of tension as the clock ticks, but moving the stylus up and down to mow lawns is both fiddly and a bit dull - you really need to keep all three mowers running at once to succeed. Add in a ravenous dog that wants to bite chunks out of your kids and the result is a gruelling, unforgiving... well, chore.- Official Nintendo Magazine UK

Monotonous enough - and once you've finished that, you go back to the start to begin again as the 'dungeon' recreates itself. Hilariously, there's a second chapter to download, if you haven't had enough already...- Official Nintendo Magazine UK
