A strong DSiWare debut from Kiloo Games, boasting delightful visuals, challenging puzzles and heaps of charm. The downsides are few in number, but occasionally the controls aren't quite precise enough and the adventure is on the short side.

There are glimmers of what made the original board game so well received in this DSiWare adaptation, but poor controls, limited multiplayer, and grainy presentation undermine the experience in the realm of video games.

The Conduit got a free pass for being relatively ambitious for Wii shooters, but those days are over: Conduit 2 is a mess of undercooked ideas and impotent execution. It's not that it's a drastically worse game than its predecessor, but the design has been so far surpassed multiple times in the past two years that there is very little reason to return to this underwhelming well.

It's easy to see what Escape Trick is trying to do, but the sloppy execution ultimately lets the overall package down. The poor controls and lack of direction in many parts of the game bring any type of enjoyable gaming experience to a halt far too often and you'll end up spending the majority of your playing time stuck on things that really shouldn't be nearly as difficult as they are.

Planet Fish's brevity and pick-up-and-play nature would probably suit it much better on a handheld, but as it stands the game is still a consistently fun and unique take on the innocuous fishing genre, and at 500 points, well worth a download for someone looking for something slightly outside the box.

Things like the touchscreen map should have opened up the opportunity to plan out strategies and position troops about the battlefield, but your allies never live up to your demands, and organising a strategy is rendered useless by the idiotic AI. There are a lot of missed opportunities here, as strategic troop planning could have added a lot of depth to the title.

The negatives are few and relatively minor: the storyline and characters are forgettable, the multiplayer is a little clumsy and the visuals could be better. However, the developers have done a superlative job of creating a turn-based strategy game that can, conceivably, be appreciated by newcomers to the genre as well as experienced strategists.

The core gameplay is fundamentally solid and filled with potential, but it seems like the developers gave up at halftime instead of pushing through to the end. Asphalt 3D's flaws are mostly minor but there are too many to ignore, and it doesn't have enough of its own personality to make amends.
