To the game’s credit, the constantly progressing storyline and environments do give Around the World in 80 Days some pizzazz, but it can’t completely hide the repetitive, rudimentary gameplay.- Nintendo Insider

With a variety of gameplay in the single-player mode, improved and even longer than the first title, C.T. Special Forces 2 is just the right mix of action for handheld gamers.- Nintendo Insider

A pretty lackluster package that could have been so much more if the platform elements, which previous games focused on, were given attention in the newest game. Instead, the platforming is mainly a way to get in between mini-games and offers no challenge at all.- Nintendo Insider

Spyro’s new developer, Vicarious Visions, has changed the focus of Spyro to mini-games, which are very easy, boring and repetitive; they have also taken away the 3-D look of the games, which presents some problems in gameplay, not forgetting the fact that the 3-D isometric look simply looked better.- Nintendo Insider

Unfortunately, as it was in the past and still is apparent now, the game is very repetitive, but for those looking for a solid platform-puzzle game for the GBA, that may not be a problem.- Nintendo Insider

So bad that even having a review for the game is a waste. Whatever you do, don’t play this game. The only good thing that might come out of Van Helsing is that you might value your other games much, much more.- Nintendo Insider

There is an incredible amount of replay value if you're willing to tackle the advanced difficulty or try a different class through the game. However, while alone, the game does lose a bit of its steam.- Nintendo Insider

One of the most disappointing and lackluster games on the GameCube today...No matter what type of gamer you are, though, there are many flaws in the game which are inexcusable – the game’s length, lack of challenge (apart from Survival Mode), monotony, and bad graphics and sound.- Nintendo Insider

What the game lacks in complexity, it gains in easy-to-understand controls and smooth gameplay. [June 2004, p.120]- Nintendo Insider

The game now relies more on luck than actual skill and thinking; things such as mini-games, Charabom battles/merging and Coin Battle in Battle Mode have been taken out; and the game just seems too “cute” at times.- Nintendo Insider

No, the game isn't perfect, with some minor graphical draw-backs and game-length issues, but it is as close as you can get to a perfect game without being perfect. Overall Metroid Prime is the perfect example of what a game should be. Graphically, sound-wise, gameplay-wise it is just spectacular.- Nintendo Insider
