All in all, Pool Panic is a unique experience, though not for everybody. If you enjoy puzzle games packed with content, it may be worth your time. I never felt the desire to go back through and complete all the challenges for each stage–just wanted to get through to see what was next. Pool Panic is a fun and crazy game hampered by sometimes inaccurate or finicky controls and a lack of camera manipulation.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Ultimately, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 is only worth buying if you really love the X series formula and are willing to experience it in bizarre and inferior forms. Mega Man X8 is the singular high-quality X title to be had here, so you have to ask yourself if X8 plus three not-so-terrific titles is worth your $19.99. I love Mega Man in all his forms, so it’s worth it for me. But for you? Maybe not.- Nintendo Enthusiast

With Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1, you’re paying $19.99 for some of the greatest action platformers ever. That in itself justifies the purchase, even if X Challenge is a bit underwhelming. Anyone who has never played Mega Man X should absolutely buy this collection and change that. And for those who have played these games before, it’s probably worth their time and money to play them again.- Nintendo Enthusiast

From an aesthetic and button layout perspective, Code of Princess EX is really good. If its story was more layered, its characters were more fleshed out, and you could split the Joy-Con, this would have easily been one of the top games of the year.- Nintendo Enthusiast

While I did enjoy the game, the more missions and challenges I completed, the more repetitive they felt even though they involved different tasks. I felt like less of a fighter pilot and more like an errand boy a quarter through the game because of every mission having a point A and a point B, and nothing to really break the cycle. With that being said, Galak-Z: Variant S is a beautiful game, I just wish it did not feel so repetitive in its gameplay.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker highlights one of the best secondary characters in the Super Mario universe, and gives him a stellar adventure. Fans of the Wii U version should pick it up for the portable experience and extra levels while those who didn’t play the game in 2014 will find a lot to love. It’s another fantastic addition to the continually growing Switch library, and I can’t wait to see what Nintendo does with Captain Toad in the future.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Octopath Traveler isn’t perfect, but its major faults mostly pertain to the story. Beyond that, the game looks beautiful in a distinct way, interacting with NPCs in the game world is goofy fun, and the combat system is a multifaceted and rewarding revamp of Square Enix’s previous offerings. When you put it all together, Octopath Traveler is an engaging RPG with a unique identity that it can be proud of, even if its narrative falls far short of Square’s other classics.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Every minute with Bomber Crew felt like a rewarding experience. Fans of strategy, simulation, and World War 2 games will find a lot to love. It’s a game that asks a lot from its players, but trust me, the payoff is worth the price of admission.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The end result is a fun local multiplayer title. Even with the learning curve and occasionally slow pace, Super Volley Blast was a hit amongst myself, my friends, and my family. I will be spending some time with Super Volley Blast while hotly anticipating the next Super Blast game.- Nintendo Enthusiast

West of Loathing is a great value for its price and definitely entertaining for what it is. Unfortunately, the actual mechanics lack a lot of depth that keep it from being an experience for everyone. A deep RPG experience this is not. However, if you’re looking for a few hours to kill on a game with funny writing and creative environments, this one is for you.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, regardless of a missed block or two and too many similar modes, One Strike is a fun game to play if you have friends over and want to split the Joy Cons, or even if you have five to ten minutes to spare by yourself.- Nintendo Enthusiast

There are plenty of solid mobile ports on Switch–see Riptide GP: Renegade and Astro Duel Deluxe–but Jumping Joe & Friends is not one of them. The local multiplayer is the game’s best feature, but ultimately the game is just way too bland. It is priced fairly, but I still have a very hard time recommending it. It may serve well as a temporary, kind-of-fun distraction for your kids, but even then, there are much better alternatives out there.- Nintendo Enthusiast

A good story hampered by clunky controls at times, a lack of variety in monsters to battle, and borderline useless sidequests. If you enjoy grinding and maxing everything out in your JRPGs, then this title will get you by. While the story is good, it’s nothing mind-blowing, and the repetitive gameplay, lack of variety, and frustrating lack of travel options might turn some gamers off.- Nintendo Enthusiast

If you decide to pick up 20XX—you’re going to have a bad time. You’re going to die, you’re going to be frustrated, maybe even throw your controller in a fit of rage. If you’re anything like me, you will find small instances of inspiration and confidence to pick up your pad once again and jump back into the fray.- Nintendo Enthusiast

A lot of indie titles have been thriving on Switch and I’m hoping Runbow does as well. If you’re a fan of party games or unique platforming, Runbow is a must-have title in your game library.- Nintendo Enthusiast

While the game is short, the journey is worth it. The art is breathtaking and the gameplay is fun and unique, with some puzzles and enemy encounters that might make you think for a minute before a successful solution or escape.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus for Nintendo Switch packs the same brilliant punch as it did on other platforms. Blasting your way through Nazis and experiencing a fantastic story with some of the most wonderfully-written characters is an impressive and memorable experience. While portable mode let me down, playing docked is at a standard that allows an enjoyable time.- Nintendo Enthusiast

This Switch port is non-offensive, but several of the coding and error window effects were definitely intended for PC. Still, ICEY is fine. If you are seeking a short, functional, and fundamentally different experience, then you will find a lot to love. If you want a traditional story, a long adventure, or lots of action-packed gameplay, then search elsewhere.- Nintendo Enthusiast

This is not something you will play for hours at a time. As a cheap, content-light package, it is most enjoyable in small doses. Still, Soccer Slammers definitely has a spot in any local multiplayer-oriented catalog. If you and your friends are looking for something immensely frantic and easy to pick up and play, then Soccer Slammers is a worthy addition to your library.- Nintendo Enthusiast

For gamers who love the rhythm genre and want to experience every new thing it has to offer, they should play Lost in Harmony. They will appreciate the game’s experimentation, at the very least. (I did, anyway.) But maybe they should skip the Switch version and play it on a phone instead, the way it was clearly intended. In fact, maybe everyone would be better off just playing the game for free on a phone with touch controls.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The game is perfect for the Switch due to its short songs and addicting gameplay. Just Shapes & Beats can be played on the go in short bursts or for long periods of time. Fans of the music genre will find a lot to love, and those who like fast action will be glued to the screen for hours. Switch owners looking for an entertaining indie game should pick up Just Shapes & Beats. Not only is it a fantastic game on the console, it’s one of the best indie games of the year.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Yoku’s Island Express is a great game. Combining Metroidvania exploration with pinball gameplay was an interesting decision that paid off big time. Despite its short length, Yoku’s Island Express is still a complete adventure, one that is relaxing and an absolute pleasure to take in. Anyone seeking a more laid back Metroidvania title with beautiful sights and sounds should play Yoku’s Island Express.- Nintendo Enthusiast

As it always has been, Ikaruga is a must-play for anyone even remotely interested in shoot ‘em ups. Truthfully, its budget price and extreme quality make it a worthwhile foray into the genre even for those who have never been interested in shmups. The difficulty is daunting, but does not detract from the rewarding experience, and polarity-switching makes for a unique and addictive experience.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Raging Justice is the perfect game to run through in a single sitting or try to complete the list of challenges for each level. Fans of the genre will find many resemblances to games like Final Fight and Streets of Rage. Ultimately, if the difficulty doesn’t bother you, there’s a lot of fun to be had with Runner3. The levels are zany, while their designs are compelling. There are a ton of collectibles to find and characters to unlock. Unfortunately, not everyone will feel the difficulty warranted or appreciate it equally. For me, it felt like the game did not respect my time.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Brakes Are For Losers is like a toy you find in a Happy Meal. A cheap distraction good for a few minutes of entertainment. It’s not meant to be played on its own. Instead, it is at best the sort of game that you mess around with for ten minutes while cooling off between sessions with meatier games. BAFL is reasonably fun, but a novelty at best.- Nintendo Enthusiast
