We would have loved a more complex story, more different quest and more NPC but at it's core Portal Knights it's a pretty cool game, with quite good content and a lot of stuff to do and to create. Combat system is really simple but quite challenging for the young players out there, a good compromise to satisfy a wide audience.

The mobile version of Injustice 2 improves the experience of the first episode, delivering a classic gesture fighting game with plenty of characters to unlock, different game modes and some spectacular sequences.

Disgaea 5 Complete adds almost nothing to the PlayStation 4 we fell in love with, except for the free DLCs available at launch. This is basically the only flaw of one of the most compelling and deep strategy JRPG on the market.

Echoes actually feels generic and plain especially because of its simple maps and mechanics, but a few redeeming features as dungeons and loots keep it fresh and interesting. Still, Fire Emblem veterans might find it too archaic and RPG-esque compared to Fates or Awakening.

The Surge is a metallic Souls-like with his own identity. It’s not perfect, but it worth the price.

Injustice 2 dramatically improves the experience of the first episode in every respect. The game delivers an engaging campaign, a rich Multiverse single player mode, lots of new characters and plenty of absolutely crazy special moves.

As a free to play game, Knights of Valour isn't totally bad. Unfortunately extra characters cost way too much and the gameplay becomes really repetitive. The game came to Europe three years later than the asian version and it suffers from dated graphics and lack of content.

Lethal League is still a beautiful game, with an awesome gameplay and some great ideas. Unfortunately it comes with no significant improvements in terms of roster and contents even after three years from the original release.

Guns of Mercy is a stripped down shooter focused on the basis of the genre: shooting things. The simple concept of endlessly shoot down enemies is very fun, but you may take this in little doses.

BioShock, System Shock, Dead Space, Dishonored and others: you will find many influences in Prey, but it definitely shines on its own mainly thanks to great level design and gameplay.

STRAFE is a gore fest with very old graphics, fast paced first person shooting and roguelike mechanics. Slightly unbalanced and maybe too rough for some players, it's still a worthy and pleasantly ironic homage to the nineties.

Tumbleseed is simple in its concept, but a real challenge to play through the end. And, also thanks to the beautiful aesthetics, a real pleasure.

More an experiment on digital narrative than a real videogame, Father and Son shows a good take on the relationship between the two, inside a charming, although little, representation of Naples and its archeological museum.

Random drops and subsequent grinding could disappoint someone, but Orcs Must Die! Unchained is able to combine a balanced gameplay with a huge load of mechanics and it's a worthy free-to-play chapter of the Orcs Must Die franchise.

Impressive when it comes to sheer content, rich in new enemies, items, and even sporting a new amazing weapon, Dragon of the North is a definite must have for Nioh fans. Still, the partly exploitable combat system makes the pvp chaotic at its best, unplayable at its worst, and the difficulty unbalanced for those players who invested a lot of hours in making William a true killing machine.

It is difficult to evaluate Late Shift as a video game, considering how little is given to the player in terms of interaction. But its limits are also its main force. If you want to live a real dynamic and well-written movie, where are you going to decide on developments and consequences, the CtrlMovie product is fascinating and unique in its own right.
