While it's definitely not a racing game that'll make your head spin, F1 2009 is indeed a much more polished game than the last Formula 1 games.

Even if 2D Super Mario Bros can't be the avant-garde of the video gaming world in 2009 as it was twenty years ago, it's still fun and entertaining as no other. "New SMB Wii" isn't perfect as "SMB 3", it alternates pieces of pure genius with some stages a bit too manneristic, but overall it takes the 2d platform games where they hadn't been in the last ten years.

Phantasy Star Zero will not disappoint those Phantasy Star Online fans who aren't still tired of its immutable concept, but how many of them are out there? Moreover, this is probably the worst among all episodes, mainly due to a chaotic combat system and poor AI. Still, it's not so bad and will guarantee your daily dose of grinding and looting.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a great game, but not as great as we expected. The revamped multiplayer and new spec ops are worth the price, but the single player is too much similar to the first episode and it lacks the excellence of the story telling of Modern Warfare.

Dragon Ball: Raging Blast is the best game in the saga available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Spectacular combats and the excellent graphics make up for a less than acceptable camera. If you are a fan, you'll love it.

Pes 2010 on the Wii is really a little step forward compared to the 2009 edition; the series seems to have lost some kind of interest by Konami itself, and the result is a product that fails to impress and innovate over the solid exclusive wiimote gameplay.

Is this conversion of Modern Warfare worth the wait? Frankly, no. Wii owners were expecting a more polished game, though the well-known technical limitations of the Nintendo console, while this one comes with mediocre graphics and unresponsive controls.

World Rally is an almost perfect tribute to the original Excitebike, but maybe it's just too old for the modern player. Its quick action and the online multiplayer fits well in the WiiWare context, but it's better enjoyed in short sessions.

Basically Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage seems a little bit too similar to "Road Trip". On the one hand it's quite good if you haven't played it yet, but it's not enough if you bought last year's game.

Given its particular nature, Shattered Horizon inevitably generates mixed feelings. On the one hand, we can consider the strategic elements inherent in the particular physical scenario, on the other the lack of nice locations to support them. Maybe it's worth a try.

It's really difficult to describe in a few words what Dragon Age: Origins means for the RPG genre. It's role-playing at its roots, with an incredible story arc, deep gameplay and an atmosphere no other game can deliver. You'll hope the game will last forever. There are really few problems in the gameplay but we can say without any doubt that Origins is the RPG of the year and, perhaps, of the last few years.

The latest Jak and Daxter game on the PSP comes with some flaws, but also delivers a good gameplay, three different kind of action and plenty of missions. The Lost Frontier takes a little to start up, but then proves to be a product of great substance, very well made and full of good ideas.

LEGO Rock Band is both for kids and experienced players, since the expert level is still a tough one. It's a really cute game and well done as an overall, but there should have been more songs, especially considering the price and the fact that you will be asked to play them over and over before you get to the end of the single player campaign.

Though it's not even close to the real Rock Band experience, LEGO Rock Band offers great fun and an unexpected thickness. The tracklist lacks of many of the songs you can get with the Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii versions, but the audio quality is awesome for the Nintendo DS standards.

PES 2010 is certainly the best of its series that we have seen so far on the new generation, but it still misses something. Stunning graphics and realistic ball physics are opposed to some conservative choices still tied to its glorious past, including an incomplete 360° control system.

In Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron for Nintendo DS you can switch between four classes and use different weapons, but unfortunately this doesn't change the poor combat system and the lack of a decent level design.

C.O.P. The Recruit is a shallow and boring experience that tries without success to replicate the GTA formula. The only positive aspect is the graphical engine, really impressive based on the hardware limitations.

Band Hero feels more like a data disk rather than a brand new franchise: however, its focus on multiplayer, pop tracklist and interesting connectivity options with the DS make it a perfect-suited rhythm game for the Wii audience.

In the awkward world of the "band" games on DS, Band Hero suffers from the very disappointing absence of a career mode and the limited compatibility with the DS consoles. Overall, a competent but forgettable game.

The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood starts slowly and so It ends. In the middle Telltale put a good story, a couple of fantastic characters and some rewarding puzzles. Maybe not the best episode of the series, The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood is still an enjoyable game.
