Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 might look like a soulless clone of the Pokémon franchise but it actually develops its own identity very fast. Although it's missing all the fun and charming features which make the Pokémon worlds such enjoyable in the first place, the addictive and depth monster-making system makes up for the lackluster plot and characters.

Despite some graphical assets from the past, Darksiders's gameplay structure manages to face nowadays standard with some clever game design and a deep, engaging combat system. Switch adds its portable mode to the deal.

Fancy Pants for iOS is a great platformer, with gorgeous animations and a lot of extra contents. Unfortunately the combat and exploration elements slow down the rhythm, feeling particularly out of place.

New Super Luigi U manages to show some clever ideas in terms of level design, but its quick run based structure and déjà-vu feeling makes it a good - but not astounding - content to play.

With its engaging setting, top-notch graphics and voice acting, Rèpublique is a true marvel to look at: on the gameplay side, however, things simply aren't always that good.

A nice reboot from EA Sports, graphics is more realistic, but the fun remains the same. Gorgeous World Tour campaign and cutting edge online modes.

Ronimo has once again managed to hide under a thin and attractive façade in 2D a complex and well designed strategy game. Not many will exceed the initial impact, and not everyone will get completely hooked on its mechanism, but the mission of the Awesomenauts to bring the MOBA genre on consoles is undoubtedly successful.

3D Dot Game Heroes was clearly inspired by the old Zelda games. It takes the charm of the old school games, while at the same time updating the style and adding a plethora of new elements to keep gameplay fresh, all without losing the classic feel.

Sims 3 Travel Adventure is certainly a successful expansion, but due to the fact that the price is high, it's a title recommended to those who have not played the series before.

Tetrobot and Co. is a great puzzler, with a simple concept, many facets of gameplay, a near-perfect level design and a devilish, never frustrating, difficulty level. A masterpiece in its genre.

Sons of Winter has entangled his characters in such a painful web of conflicts that we can't help but feel the weight of every single beat of action. There are no minor consequences in Sons of Winter and every wrong word could easily be the last one.

The formula is anything but original, and Sky Chasers doesn’t add significant new features: however, the game is pretty, fun and supported by an honest IAP system.

Souldiers is a solid game, clearly made with care and passion, but this is not always enough. This metroidvania struggles to impress the player in any of its components, whether artistic, narrative, or design. The class differences are nice, but we don't think many will want to replay the entire adventure to see how the unchosen classes change the style.

Season: A Letter to the Future allows players to roam a valley marked by its past and populated by a handful of unforgettable characters. The humanity on the verge of abandoning Tieng Valley is full of dreams and has stories of love and loss to tell. Scavengers Studio manufactures an invite to meditation and a hymn to human bonds and nostalgia that is also a celebration of the capability to become independent and strive forth without fear, on board a bicycle that sets a new standard for the use of DualSense's features.

Screamer is a hero racer with combat elements and a strong focus on storytelling that overturns the arcade approach of the 1995 original, in an attempt to build something new and different. Does it succeed? In some respects yes, in others less so: the gameplay makes bold choices that can sometimes feel puzzling, giving the impression of overcomplicating what is ultimately a fairly traditional structure, where drifting and boosting alternate to win races. Meanwhile, the lengthy campaign unfolds as a four-act narrative that works well (also thanks to some impressive animated sequences) until a certain sense of fatigue starts to set in. There’s a noticeable lack of a more substantial surrounding framework, one that would better capitalize on the compelling characters crafted by Milestone and their vehicles. Perhaps something that will be expanded upon in the future?

Even if you're constantly moving from point A to point B, Crysis 3 makes you feel truly free, the main character behind great events, and that's absolutely not a negligible achievement. In other words, this is the best piece of work from the Crytek guys so far.

From a technical standpoint, however, Invincible VS fails to particularly distinguish itself. The 3D character models lack detail—a shortcoming that is especially evident in Story Mode, where the transition between animated cutscenes and gameplay segments highlights the disparity in quality. The animations, too, are not always up to par; some attacks appear unpolished and lack fluidity. Finally, the special effects do not exactly dazzle with their spectacle; while generally pleasing overall, they remain inferior to those found in many other titles within the genre—a sentiment that ultimately applies to the entire graphics package.

Denki Blocks isn't just a Tetris clone, but it's an original reinterpretation of the generic puzzle games based on blocks movements. The sensibility of iPhone's touch screen gives to the game a fantastic feedback. However, Denki Blocks has a random difficulty level so many schemes are too easy, other are too difficult.

An episodic story that, through its characters, tells the tale of one of Europe’s symbolic twentieth-century cities: Berlin. It moves back and forth through time while remaining firmly rooted in a single place, an apartment in the very heart of the city. Within its walls, people have witnessed a century of history that the German capital has lived through, marked by a series of key dates which, from 1933 onward, saw it become the stage for wars, cultural revolutions, and events that changed the world. Each of these moments, with its own small gameplay idea, guides us for about four hours on a journey to discover how our presence always leaves a trace behind in the places we inhabit.
