It's quite amazing to see how Nintendo manage to craft individual levels in Super Mario Galaxy 2 that comprise more innovation, variation and ingenuity than other developers build their entire games upon. This is a superior game to it's predecessor and the finest game in the genre available today.- Level7.nu

Rockstar North has once again managed to elevate the GTA franchise to new levels of excellence. It's the best GTA experience to date, with a fantastic online mode to boot. Sure, this title does have its share of flaws, but when the game as a whole is nothing short of a masterpiece there is no reason as to why this game shouldn’t be a perfect ten.- Level7.nu

Grand Theft Auto V offers one of the best sandbox experiences ever, filled to the brink with stuff to do. The vistas are magnificent and amazing stuff just seems to happen wherever you go. But at the same time the story is tired and the characters unoriginal. Your appreciation of Grand Theft Auto V will depend of what you want out of the series. The freedom and joy of discovery is hard to beat but the rest still has some ways left to go.- Level7.nu

Rockstar manages to make a massive game even more massive and likeable. The new first person mode offers a completely unique way of experiencing the game, which together with 1080p and other graphical upgrades makes this recommendable to both new and returning customers alike.- Level7.nu

The sequel to the masterfully crafted Uncharted: Drake's Fortune manages to up the notch to a whole new level, the result being the best adventure we've seen on this generation of console hardware. Praise be infinite when looking at the different aspects of the Uncharted 2 experience: fantastic graphics, great cast of characters, superb level design, masterfully directed movie sequences, fun combat and a well told story all make up what is undoubtedly a landmark of game design. Add to this a great online co-op mode as well as fun multiplayer modes and you get a game that by itself is a reason to buy a PS3.- Level7.nu

The second part of the Mass Effect saga is nothing short of a milestone in game design. The technical issues present in the first game are now gone, a fact that's beautifully demonstrated by the improved graphics engine. There's a ton of worlds to explore, an amazing roster of characters to recruit and a great and engaging story. But Bioware's major feat is how all your decisions have a major impact on how the story, and thereby the trilogy, unfolds.- Level7.nu

Little Big Planet could very well be a modern classic. Relying heavily on user content this game will only grow in splendor with time. The game does hold it's own though with great levels, beautiful graphics and fantastic four player co-op. A somewhat unrealised potential with regards to the controls and movement of charaters is the only thing standing in the way of a perfect score.- Level7.nu

The Last of Us is a great action-adventure game that manages to capture the feeling of post-apocalypse and survival. The story is alright but way too manipulative and borrows heavily from other, better, material. Still the segmented survival gameplay and the amazing audiovisual production makes the game an experience everybody should check out.- Level7.nu

The Last of Us Remastered is better than the original in every single way, although the improvement doesn’t really enhance the experience all that much. If you have completed it already you can skip this version, but if you’ve missed out the adventure before you’re in a for a big treat.- Level7.nu

There are so many aspects of Red Dead Redemption that make it an experience above and beyond all other open world sandbox experiences that we can't even begin to list them all. Some of the reasons that stand out are a wealth of content, a beautifully rendered and detailed world, an interesting and engaging storyline, a fantastic roster of characters with their own personalities, great and believable dialogue, the ability to experience the game world online with or against others; the list can go on forever. Rest assured that this is one of the greatest game we've played in 2010 so far, and possibly ever.- Level7.nu

The puzzles in Portal 2 are truly great, the co-op mode a welcome addition and the dialogues are sometimes hilarious. The constant "enter a room, solve the puzzle, enter a new room" formula does, however, get repetitive in the long run.- Level7.nu

The successor to the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham Asylum is bigger, looks better and contains even more content in form of more villains, more riddles and more side quests then its predecessor. Though it's near perfect in almost every way, the large amount of characters included from the Batman universe paradoxically becomes a flaw as there's too many of them to present them all in a logical and deserving way. Still, Batman Arkham City is a wonderful masterpiece that should not be missed.- Level7.nu

Bioshock for the PS3 is, like it was on Xbox 360, one heck of an fps-adventure. It's also still a tad bit linear and monotonous at times. But despite these minor flaws this is still a game where design and atmosphere sets the mark for other developers to aim for. Everything from your moral choices to the interconnected mythology of Rapture is intriguing and a must have for those who haven't experienced the Xbox 360 counterpart yet since this version is just as good in every way.- Level7.nu

As the supposed last entry in the Metal Gear-franchise, this is one major release. Most of the flaws found in previous entries have been removed and the variety in gameplay and weapons is simply immense. The story is told in great part by cinematic video sequences and ingame narrative sequences, and while these are fantastic in many ways they can also become a bit tedious. These flaws are minor though, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a fantastic title in every way and a worthy finale to the franchise.- Level7.nu

Nintendo's third entry in the Smash Bros series isn't just a trip down nostalgia lane - it's also a heck of a fun experience. With an insane amount of content and a gameplay begging for sessions with a bunch of friends this is a perfect addition to the series. A somewhat dodgy online mode and random events during fights mar this otherwise fantastic and frantic experience.- Level7.nu

Bioshock Infinite is indeed a very good game, mostly because of its narrative and atmosphere. It offers a well written story in a living and interesting gameworld with believable characters. The only downside is the action scenes, which are both too frequent and feel somewhat unsubstantial.- Level7.nu

Bilzzard offers us an engrossing and well crafted single player campaign combined with a multiplayer mode crafted to perfection in StarCraft II. You won't find any other real time strategy game that comes close to this level of craftsmanship. Add to this meaty options for content creation and what you get is a game well worth the long wait.- Level7.nu

Fallout 3 is a great realisation of the Fallout franchise in the third dimension, backed by the great tech that powered Bethesda's prior success Oblivion. But the game's greatest strength is also it's greatest weakness. Although you have a wealth of great content to wade through there is also a great deal of repetitive environments and missions. This being said, these minor flaws aren't enough to dampen what is otherwise a great roleplaying adventure and of the best games of 2008.- Level7.nu

If we were to summarize Gears of War 2 in one sentence it would be "intense and impressive action, preferably experienced together with a friend". There are some flaws here, such as a somewhat uninteresting storyline and some uneven levels, but when the overall experience is nothing short of outstanding we're ready to ignore these minor annoyances. Everything in Gears of War 2 is bigger, better and more bad ass and with an improved online mode this is the game to buy for all action buffs.- Level7.nu

By taking a step away from hours of cutscenes and codec conversation, and instead focusing on pure gameplay, Metal Gear Solid V is an unfamiliar but ultimately great and lengthy experience. It would have been nice with some more time spent on the characters and story, but it is a fair compromise with the new open world direction. Metal Gear Solid V is a great evolution for the series and it is a shame that the new direction will not reach its full potential due to Konami's probable withdrawal from the console world.- Level7.nu

God of War III is the very definition of an epic experience. The combat is brutal and fluid, the sense of scale is massive and the presentation is nothing short of amazing. Even though the third iteration of the series adds little or nothing to the original formula it's impossible not to be engulfed in this roller coaster of epic moments. A worthy conclusion to the trilogy indeed.- Level7.nu

The third installation in the Uncharted series is bombastic and looks simply amazing. The highly scripted gameplay doesn't feel as fresh as it used to and the story loses its focus about halfway in, but a surprisingly good multiplayer experience saves the grade.- Level7.nu
