It’s hard to expect great things from a movie-tie-in title, but Turbo Super Stunt Squad wasted an opportunity to be a harmless kid racer and instead became a unsatisfying skateboarding game that can be sometimes too challenging for its target audience of young children.

For a casual fan, NHL 14 offers a good time in its main game modes and hours of additional fun with the NHL 94 anniversary modes. However fans of a realistic hockey experience might be a little let down by the big slide into arcade action and the main game modes offering little upgrade over last years version.

The gameplay is flawless as are the graphics which creates one of the finest games of 2013 and will be a contender for Game of the Year. It's easy to see why this is the most expensive game ever created and will be the most psychological game that you have ever played!

Killzone Mercenary is definitely the game that the PlayStation Vita needed and boasts the best first person shooter experience on a portable system. From exceptional graphics, almost flawless gameplay, Killzone Mercenary just gets better and better which each play as there's always something to find while you are playing.

Disney Infinity successfully takes the Skylanders premise to a whole new level and seriously improves the gameplay. More importantly, players can actually relate better to the characters due to the big name Disney names that grace this title. Right from the get go, players will find themselves entertained but just be warned that if you're a collector, this game may get expensive. Recommended!

Perhaps because this is my first Total War game I’m easier to impress. Maybe long-time fans will have beefs with an unresolved issue or game tweak. All I can tell you is that if you’ve ever dreamed of slipping on the sandals, donning that toga and sharpening up that stiletto dagger, this is the game for you. You’ll learn a lot of history and you’ll have a deal of fun, and maybe after a month or two, you’ll be the most powerful person to ever cast their shadow across the ancient world.

Diablo III Is a solid sword and sorcery dungeon crawling adventure. Just push the direction you want to go and then hack 'n' slash... how simple and fun.

While Out of the Park 14 is a fun fantasy styled game, gamers with not much interest in baseball or waiting (because of the real time aspect) won’t enjoy this game as much as sports fans and fantasy sports players.

Volition it seems has made a new standard in over the top…no really I don’t think you understand… they went over the top before. Now they had to raise the bar in standards as well, just so they could go over the top of that.

Payday 2 is a Co Op game. While it might have benefitted with a cool story arc for a single player mode the game offers a great outing with 3 other friends for an experience that will keep having you come back for more. Payday is simply put the improved, polished and closest experience you’ll find to robbing an actual bank. It’s just legal.

The Bureau – XCOM Declassified isn’t a bad game by any means. Indeed, once you come to terms with the micro-management of your team and the few clunky control issues it reveals itself to be a fairly solid shooting experience peppered with some great set-pieces.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 is a thoroughly enjoyable game that works best in medium doses. The game is oozing with One Piece references that I'm sure fans will get a huge kick out. Even if you are not familiar with the series, the game is still extremely accessible. In terms of combat, it's probably one of the most enjoyable games I've played all year as I play pirate superhero and knock my enemies into the air.

Lost Planet 3 is unfortunately a game that does not try to push the genre. It's a sturdy third person shooter with a touch of first person that comes across a little too familiar and dated.

Still, for a price of just ten bucks, Gaucamelee! is definitely a game worth checking out. If only just for the gorgeous design and crazy cartoon yuks, it’s a platformer that pile-drives the competition.

Who would have thought it has been nearly 10 years since the Last Pikmin game and Nintendo have a real winner on their hands with Pikmin 3 that has not only streamlined the gameplay but seriously improved it. Best of all, the games looks gorgeous in HD and Pikmin have never looked this great! Add in some great single player challenges, multiplayer fun and you’ll be playing this game for a long time.

There are a couple of graphical imperfections, and the controls could use further refinement. But apart from those niggles, Xillia does everything you want a Tales game to do: Frantic action, likeable characters, and a skit-load of customisation.

Koei have really nailed the Dynasty Warriors nail on the head with this game. Not only have they fine tuned the gaming mechanics but given the player a variety of interesting additions and gameplay modes to keep players busy for a considerable amount of time. Combat feels more fluid and the introduction of new abilities and weapons takes this franchise to a whole new gaming sphere.

Poor design choices and a lack of content result in R.I.P.D. the Game fitting the stereotype that movie tie-in video games aren’t worth your time and money. While there’s some cool looking weapons (such as a banana) to unlock as a reward for continuous play, after playing for a few hours nothing really seems worth the trouble.

In the end, Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded is a fun adult game that not only pays homage to the original but gives the modern gaming community something a little different. Sure it's dated here and there and some of the gags fall a little flat but the writing, characters and some of the puzzles are well crafted that will make you laugh, cry in shock and have a truly enjoyable time from start to finish.

Nintendo have another winner on their hand and if you're looking for a game that will keep you busy for hours upon hours than Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros. is that game. The gameplay is quite unique on the 3DS and successfully merges two gaming genres, RPG and Arcade to create this interesting hybrid with a whole lot of fun at the same time. Add in a clever combat system and a variety of whacky super moves and you, Mario and Luigi will be working successfully together to rescue the beautiful Princess Peach.

Sine Mora is a game that you should go out and buy now and as the translation of Sine Mora is without delay (it's Greek), it actually suits this title perfectly from its epic battles, lush graphics and almost flawless gameplay. Who would have thought that a game inspired by the classic 8-bit side scrolling genre can still find a place in the 21st century of gaming.

Overall, Toki Tori 2+ is a great game with great features that most players will enjoy. While the pricing might be a little high, the features that come with it and hours of puzzle fun definitely make up for that aspect. For any casual gamer or puzzle lover out there, I recommend Toki Tori 2+.

Time and Eternity may not be as polished as other Japanese RPG titles but it does give the player a standard experience that for the majority of the time, I enjoyed. It definitely could have been better as it stays in the safe zone, rather than try to challenge the current genre.
