The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr does a great job of offering a compelling new culture, quest-lines and high-quality content for new and lapsed players to get back into the game with minimal confusion, particularly thanks to solid tutorials and a well-written narrative. The game’s strengths will, of course, mostly appeal to long-time players, and while the dragon aspect of the expansion is a little on the conservative side in terms of execution, anything involving the Khajiit hits all the right notes. If you’re searching for a great MMO to play on console or want to get lost in the extensive and fantastical lore of Elder Scrolls, ESO: Elsweyr makes a compelling new case.- Impulsegamer

In summary, for anyone who is looking for a quick and easy game with beautiful Norwegian scenery, this is a must. I do hope that the developers add more aspects of the storyline down the track, but it was a good play overall and worth a try if you have a few hours to kill.- Impulsegamer

A Woman’s Lot is not something you should play if you want a happy gaming experience (there are certainly happy moments… but they have their stark counter points)… but if you want a gaming experience that feels real and true to the life of Feudal citizens, this is a great option. A strong female character with compassion and an iron will makes for a nice change from the norm as well. A good value DLC that will add a lot of story depth to an already impressive game.- Impulsegamer

Despite its limited mechanics and traditional gameplay, Hue is a challenging 2D puzzle platformer with some impressive ideas. The surprising level of creativity on display in the puzzle design and the game’s interesting visuals make it an enjoyable four to five hour experience, but don’t expect any surprises.- Impulsegamer

For combat strategy fans who revel in difficulty and challenge, this game is a fantastic opportunity to perfect your tactics. The missions are long, complicated and will require multiple attempts to earn those all important medals and sense of accomplishment. For those short of patience or who don’t like repeating missions, the basic graphics, poor storyline, and limited music will keep you away.- Impulsegamer

It’s a lot of fun and very tongue in cheek at times. It’s not a very deep “who dunnit”… more of a Dukes of Hazard framed by Boss Hogg type scenario… without the left over civil war racist visuals. It’s silly, over the top and… well… a lot of fun. Not a bad bit of fun for the price.- Impulsegamer

Overall it’s a fresh change from the standard jump scare, or shooter mechanic that we have so much of today. It’s a compelling story and one worth putting some time into puzzle solving to uncover. The game is pretty forgiving and not too taxing so if you like a bit of problem solving in a sci-fi setting, this might be just up your alley.- Impulsegamer

I thoroughly enjoyed A Plague Tale: Innocence from start to finish and cannot fault this title at all. While the gameplay is fluid that is accompanied by excellent graphics and audio, where A Plague Tale – Innocence shines is with its characters and the way it tells their story. So if you’re upset at how Game of Thrones ended and need a story that is told correctly, A Plague Tale – Innocence does that flawlessly.- Impulsegamer

The bottom line… there’s not a lot of intellectualising here… grab a car, pick a job, go out and execute the job (or target… well both really). It’s simple fun with a bit of a flair for strategy if you want it. Works great as a pick up and play game too so if you can only spare 10 mins or so (the missions are timed) you can get in a quick task and be off again. Worth your time if you like a bit of road based combat.- Impulsegamer

I suppose Sniper Elite V2 Remastered would be a decent game if it didn’t feature successors so much better than it. I’m surprised Rebellion minimally invested in anything but window dressing for the re-release, as they had a lot to work with. Perhaps its biggest crime is the absurdly high price point on the Switch, one 3x that of Steam (at time of review).- Impulsegamer

If you are a fan of point-and-click RPG, hilarious storytelling, or you would like to try a point and click for the first time, then you really can’t go past this game. It is brilliantly written, carefully designed and put together; and most of all, seriously brilliant satire.- Impulsegamer

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is great. It was great in 2017 on the PS4. It’s greater now on the Switch. It looks amazing and the frame rate is consistent in the dock and in handheld. The price point is an issue. A port of a game more than a decade old should not cost the same as a full price Triple A new release title. There are indie games on the Nintendo Shop that are amazing for only a fraction of the price. Hell the original PS4 version of the Zodiac Age can be found in most stores of $25 and it is ostensibly the same game. If you can find a copy on sale, it is an essential title to add to your Switch library.- Impulsegamer

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse is an excellent update that addresses many of the gameplay issues that marred the original Swords of Ditto release. The new gameplay changes remove much of the tedium of the original gameplay loop, and the added content is a boon to replayability. The Switch version of the game looks and plays tremendously, however the obnoxiously long load times are an unfortunate caveat. Check this one out if you’re after a simple yet satisfying roguelike to play solo or with a friend.- Impulsegamer

Overall it’s a very solid packaged. Both games are fantastic in their own way and still hold up. The feature upgrades available in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX are nowhere to be found when they would have been most welcome. Considering the upcoming Final Fantasy XII remaster also contains these features makes this package stand out all the more. It is also a steep price point. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster may include two full games, but charging $80 seems a little ridiculous. Despite this it still comes highly recommended. Maybe just wait for a sale first.- Impulsegamer

All things said and done Fade to Silence is not a game that will inspire you to keep playing it. There are just too many issues with graphics, control and hit box contacts. It looks and feels clunky, and I am not sure it can be saved with a patch any time soon. Sadly I would suggest that eventually this game will do what its title suggests; Fade to Silence.- Impulsegamer

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is an impressive feat on the Nintendo Switch. Perhaps I aught not be surprised at what developers are able to squeeze onto the Switch these days, but I was certain Dragon’s Dogma’s huge open world and gigantic enemies would cause my Switch to burn up in my hands when I tried to run it. Distracting NPC pop-in and muddy textures are a small price to pay to be able to experience this fun and unique RPG classic on the go. Definitely worth checking out if you’re after a lengthy RPG adventure that’s not quite like anything else around.- Impulsegamer

It isn’t normally my style of game but even I was hard pressed to put the controller down at times, some of those nights being work nights. If dungeon crawlers are your thing, buy this game, if steampunk is your thing, buy this game, if both are your thing, buy this game. At $30 rounded up it’s a pretty decent price, for a pretty decent game. Or, play it smart and wait for a Steam or PSN sale and it become absolutely worth it.- Impulsegamer

Some aspects of the game and unlock requirements may feel a bit repetitive and tedious, for example if you get left behind in a race, then it’s simply irrecoverable. Restart it. You will however be drawn back and your wins will be fist pump moments.- Impulsegamer

It is utterly solid, compelling to play, and at a price point you cannot argue with. It is also pretty cheap to buy comparative to other titles, and whilst not a AAA title, looks and plays like one. It is a short game that you can get through in a few hours if you do not explore, but even that will still give you a good experience, but one I doubt you will return to unless you loved the story like I did. Give it a shot.- Impulsegamer

I’d give this the thumbs up. It is not expensive and is guaranteed to be a fun get in get out game. If you do want next gen graphics etc, this may not be the title for you, but from a strategy perspective it offers a fun challenge that gets you thinking.- Impulsegamer

Weedcraft Inc. is a good looking, multi-layered and detailed management simulation game. Given the length of time required to be successful, and relatively monotonous ‘mini-games’ I think you would need to be a fan of either the ‘theme’, or tycoon style games to get the most out of the experience.- Impulsegamer
