Star Wars: The Old Republic is the fresh breeze the MMORPG genre so urgently needed.

Stunning graphics, a well-told story, and now a big expansion in terms of gameplay and atmosphere: Age of Conan now looks like it should have looked two years ago when it was originally released. It‘s worth a look, this game is very rewarding.

Just another sequel for a lot of money? Yes and no. You can find improvements concerning graphics, handling and feeling, but you won’t find real innovation.

Call it Sudoku Reloaded, in the third dimension, or whatever you want: Word is that Picross 3D is awesome and addictive. You'll overlook the unspectacular presentation, and the amount of 350 puzzles is amazing.

Series are hard to evaluate: On the one hand, every sequel should be reviewed as a stand-alone – Madden NFL 09 is a great game on that account, not only in the football-segment, but generally in the sports genre – on the other hand, owner of Madden NFL 08 don’t have to buy the sequel, because the changes are not that big.

Amazing feeling owning to the licenses and the new controls. Only the graphics are (still) not on high-end level.

If you have some resistance against frustration and want a short but intensive trip into the New Super Mario Bros. Universe, you should keep that addition in mind.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is an atmospheric action-adventure without any fighting in it. The creepy sound just thrilled me.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning provides not only fast-action, but also a great story, a cool battle system and beautiful locations. Even if there are a few things you've already seen somewhere else, the developers from 38 Studios did a pretty good job.

A worthy successor, spectacular, yet slightly problematic when it comes down to its AI. As MW3 offers a great experience and a strong multiplayer mode, it can be recommended.

Rockstar Games did a very good job. For race-newbies Midnight Club: Los Angeles is an ideal game and graphics rock, too. A good game to enjoy the Christmas holidays!

One of the best beat’em up’s ever. Disappointing that you can’t play the story in co-op with a second player.

Medal of Honor leaves you with a shallow taste. On the one hand, it's a very good and intense game, but on the other hand, there are so many elements you've already seen in other shooters. Moreover, the graphics really could have been much better.

Fieldrunners is a quite entertaining tower-defense game that comes with tanks, motorbikes, helicopters and more. A disadvantage is that the levels are quite long, which is not the best, if you are around outside.

The graphics are just stunning, and the gameplay works like no other title on the Wii. For fans this one is a must-have, and it's your best start if you haven't played any of the other Metroid games.

Unfortunately, Dragon Age 2 has not met my expectations. The epic story of Dragon Age: Origins made me play the game for hours, but Dragon Age 2 lacks a gripping story. Most of the time you create bloodbaths by running through the same dull dungeons. There are some improvements like a talking main character, but it's not a new Dragon Age, it's rather a hack'n'slay with a touch of roleplaying. If you missed some action in Dragon Age: Origins, then you should get Dragon Age 2, but if you loved the atmosphere, the story and the freedom of choice, then you should expect something different.

Warriors of the North is another great add-on for King's Bounty. The new Nordic campaign, creates new enemies and warriors, that bring more tactical opportunities. If you like the genre, Warriors of the North will be fun.

Don't await too much of a story but a good piece of action with this spin off from the mystery drama Alan Wake. A nice and new way to find new players for a franchise.

WWE '12 is a step in the right direction. The arcade controls make the game more accessible, there's a nice selection of superstars and the multitude of options for content creation is incredible. However, many gamers simply want to play, and unfortunately, the restrictive Road to WrestleMania campaign is the biggest weakness. I note that with a wooden expression (like an ingame superstar) and have to deduct points. A shame: the game offers tons of wrestling atmosphere and is a must-have for WWE fans.

Normally, games aren’t that awesome, if they are based on movies, but this one does nearly everything right. The fighting system is known from the Final Fantasy series and the story is very exciting.

Harvest Moon veterans and experienced dungeons crawlers with the will to interact with every NPC will fit right into the world of „Rune Factory Frontier", yet all other friends of this sort of gameplay will find that playing at their own pace gives everyone enough time to learn all there is to know. A true must for fans of somewhat slow, but steady games.

Stacking is beautiful to look at and its story about child labor and the stereotypic underdog is heartwarming, yet its controls are sloppy, cut scenes are far too long and for 1200 MSP it might be a little bit pricey for its short length. Nevertheless, it's worth a look for those who love riddles and that 20ies' charm.
