This action-RPG/dungeon builder hybrid fails to live up to the predecessors it so carefully tries to emulate.

An otherwise thoroughly enjoyable experience is riddled with technical problems and hiccups throughout a majority of the single player campaign. Thankfully, you will only be spending a couple of hours in that made; the other modes provide great spurts of intense and enjoyable gameplay with a new gameplay mechanic that is a whole lot of fun.

While Homefront's overhyped single player campaign is a bit of a disappointment, it's under-hyped multiplayer portion is where the real fun is at.

Omega Force gets some credit for trying to do something different with Trinity: Souls of Z'ill O'll, but the game ultimately winds up being a decidedly average action RPG. It's a lengthy game with lots of combat and decent storyline, but with lots of repetition in combat and in exploration areas, the good cancels out the bad.

Some clever ideas wrapped in a lighthearted romp, Magicka partially collapses under its own weight of the innovative but overly-complex magic system.

Just be aware that you're getting in to a game that's got a few rough spots that you'll have to navigate to find the good bits. You'll also have to brown bag it when you walk out of the store.

A game that is at best, mediocre. Atlus' localization talent was wasted on a poorly executed adventure that even hardcore fans would be hard pressed to find enjoyable.

Not that much new here, but a price to match. A good bet for fans of the original game looking for more content until the sequel comes out. If you can grab the whole series at the $12 mark, do it.

Mass Effect 2 was an incredible game on the Xbox 360 and is just as incredible a year later on the PlayStation 3.

Modern Combat: Domination won't be taking the FPS crown from any of the big boys but is a really fun diversion that is likely to draw a faithful following.

A solid game for kids that adults will probably enjoy as well. The game play is a little repetitive but it's something that everyone will find enjoyable.

Considering the cost of the game on XBLA, you can certainly do worse when choosing a title to tide you over for a good survival-action game.

NIS has done some phenomenal translation work with Hyperdimension Neptunia, and it's too bad all their great writing and jokes are wasted on this technical mess. I really recommend checking this game out though. Despite all the flaws, you might fall in love the same way I did.

Double Fine proves yet again that you can make a great video game out of just about anything. Stacking may be nothing more than a world of nesting dolls, but that didn't stop the developers from coming up with one of the most intriguing game concepts of 2011.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is the best fighting game that I have ever played... and I have played a LOT of fighting games in my gaming life. The character rosters is diverse, the gameplay is frantic yet deep, and the game offers you a wide variety of modes that keep you coming back for more. Move over MvC2, there is a new king in town.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is an incredible package assuming you know what you are getting into. This is a game where you are going to get more out of by putting more into. If you are going to put the work into it though, you won't regret it as the possibilities are endless. If you have even the smallest creative bone in your body, you should definitely give this game a try.

The first two games still stand the test of time so purchase them separately if you'd like. Munch's Oddysee can't be guaranteed to work well right now even after a lot of effort but Stranger's Wrath is gaining value. Buyer beware if you must have them, but I'd save my money for even more patches.

You know you're doomed when the game starts its life as a mobile phone game. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a baffling adventure with a sub-par story, horrible pacing, lack-luster multiplayer support, disappointing levels and the worst camera system I've ever used. Not even the modern combat mechanics are enough to make me recommend this mediocre remake!

Prinny 2 has the makings of another great side-scrolling action game, but is marred by crummy controls and overly difficult level designs. The incredible boss battles aren't enough to keep this light-hearted sequel from being the first big disappointment of 2011!

NBA Jam is a lot of fun to play, especially with friends both online and off. The game plays exactly like the original in terms of gameplay, which was the series' strong point. EA has gone to great lengths to ensure that the strengths of the original has remained in tact.

Some pretty bad bugs cropped up and the collar is really annoying at times. I did like the characters in the game and the story isn't too bad as well. It's better than Mothership Zeta for Fallout 3, but those that played that know it's not saying much.
