Your characters move like drunken sailors while they explore. The game is surprisingly lengthy in a good way.

I am really looking forward to seeing what the developers of this game have to offer in their next game.

It should make the developers of these games feel proud to know that nearly two decades later their titles are better than most of the new stuff being released.

I'm completely turned off by a game that doesn't suck. The controls are solely to blame for that. They stink.

If there is one Xbox game you should not miss this year it is Far Cry Instincts. It is one of those genuinely original and completely engrossing first-person shooters that joins Halo as the Xbox's finest games.

Some games, like San Francisco Rush 2049 play perfectly on the Xbox and Hydro Thunder is still fun after all these years. Other games just don't feel or play as good as it use to thanks to the awkward control scheme.

This collections brings you back to the days when simple meant fun and even years later the good majority of these games still hold up pretty well.

With a lengthy yet entertaining campaign mode, Rainbow Six: Lockdown manages to pull off the best Rainbow Six game on the GameCube.

Satisfying survival/horror gameplay with a first/third-person shooter twist. Ties That Bind has one of the most disturbing storylines I have ever seen in a game.

The flawless controls (really and truly – if we rated controls separately this game would receive something rarely seen on GameZone: a perfect 10) are one integral piece to the giant puzzle the developers created. No aspect was too small, no feature was overlooked.

One of the most addictively entertaining tennis games you’ll want to play if you’re a fan of the game.

The game modes are a real treat, particularly NBA All-Star Weekend and the wonderfully addictive Dynasty Mode.

The game can be frustrating, especially when you have a higher-rated team get owned by a lower-rated one that seemingly can’t miss a shot and takes advantage of obvious lack of player movement on defense for easy buckets. But much of this part of the learning curve.

A great basketball game, and offers players plenty of bang for their buck and definitely the best B-Ball value this year. Unfortunately, those expecting enough major changes to warrant the price hike may be disappointed.

The story is still scary and still a bit confusing but the action is good and that makes this a fun ride worth taking.

The game modes feel a lot more complete this year and it all feels good on the Xbox. Some AI problems do crop up, but it doesn't get annoying.

A nice entry to the series and brings a nice collection of arcade racers to the fray. However, it would've been cooler to see more in the package.

I really like the diverse gameplay between Venom and Spider-Man. This makes the game a whole lot more interesting because they each have their own style of play, which helps break up any repetition that might form.

It’s an improvement over the two movie adaptations as it is unquestionably faithful to the comic series. I haven’t seen another comic book video game this faithful to its license.

DICE's battles would have been exciting if they had added more than one kind of level. A combo system other than square-square-square would have worked wonders.

Without apology, this is a good game that most any sim player should enjoy very much. Enlight deserves praise for not wasting time making the game look a certain way — and neglecting good game play.

Bringing Peter Parker back to his roots was appealing to me at first, but the so-so gameplay and the undeservingly high price of purchase makes Ultimate Spider-Man for Xbox more of a rental.

Considering the extent to which one can create an interactive adventure on the PlayStation 2 console system, RPG Maker 3 is a stalwart adventure that does a fine job of not only putting creation tools in the hands of gamers, but making them easy to use.

Toss out the antiquated graphics and sound and look at the bare bones of the game and you will find a challenging turn-based title that has strong tactical elements.
