Iratus could have been a worthy successor to Darkest Dungeon, but is cast down into the swamps of mediocrity by its monotonous, boring battles.

A beautiful vision of a busy cyberpunk city that doesn’t revolve around the main heroine but actually lives and breathes according to its own rules. It’s a shame that there are so many problems underneath the glorious facade - mainly a shallow story and dumb game mechanics.

A marginally prettier Mafia II with all its strengths and drawbacks. It aged quite gracefully and if you didn’t get to play it then, now’s your chance to do so on modern systems. And if you already own it, you get the remaster for free.

An unforgiving action RPG that carefully expands upon the foundations laid by the first installment. The combat system is absolutely fantastic, but the RPG layers are perhaps too intricate for their own good.

MLB The Show 20 brings tons of minor changes that, when combined, push the game towards greater heights than ever before.

You simply have to try out Iron Danger’s unique combat system to fully appreciate how great the fighting is. The bland narrative, confused set-pieces and frequent bugs are significantly less awesome.

The remake of Resident Evil 3 isn’t a very good survival horror - it actually works much better as a story-driven zombie shooter. The strong female protagonist is maybe too strong, at least as far as the bland bad guy is concerned.

The second installment of this unique motorcycle racing game has a better driving model, provides a fantastic feeling of speed and its open world is actually interesting. It’s dragged down, however, by the weird system of perks - and also by the fact that it’s so harsh and unforgiving.

A truly triple-A game for VR that could very well exist on its own, without the immersion provided by virtual reality. This is a must-have title for everybody who owns a VR headset and a strong reason to buy one for everybody else.

The modernization of this genre classic and one of the most important games of all time has been successful. Well, this is actually only the first part of the original, but embellished in such a way that it feels like a proper, standalone title.

An honest remaster full of beautiful sceneries and spectacular explosions, but the storytelling and gameplay are stuck in the past. And beware - there really is nothing else to see apart from the campaign.

The idea behind Beautiful Desolation is, unfortunately, its greatest success, let down by the way the game itself works. Still, this quaint trip into a world of post-apocalyptic retro-futurism is worth a try.

Are you a tank enthusiast? If the answer is yes, Tank Mechanic Simulator will make you smile as you dig out, renovate and exhibit your own iconic machine. But you’ll also be bored by bland assignments that always repeat themselves and never end.

Yes, Your Grace is a monarch simulator that’s better at depicting interpersonal relationships than actual reigning. Its nicely crafted story fortunately trumps the occasional frustration stemming from a management system based on chance.

When it comes to physics and the driving simulation it fuels, Overpass is a great off-road experience, basically unlike any other racing game. But the career mode gets stale very quickly, the tuning falls flat on its face and the fixed camera is criminally frustrating.

A great dungeon crawler with unforgettable characters. If only all the game mechanics could have been updated to suit the present instead of the past.

A very good platformer with awesome production values. The central character feels good to control, the story is fine and the game is basically unmatched when it comes to graphics. But the gameplay itself, although competent, could use a lot more variety.

A tactical RPG with a very good combat system, relationship chemistry among your party and an interesting backdrop of alternate World War II. This game is worth multiple playthroughs despite its rather underwhelming central storyline.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will easily become your lovely new daily routine. Every day you’ll be coming back and discovering something new, you won’t be feeling alone even in sinlgeplayer and you’ll become a part of a community that will transform a tropical island into a paradise on Earth (just forget about the couch coop, though).

Doom Eternal doesn’t care about any modern-day shooter flourishes and instead puts all its demonic strength towards one goal: old-school heavy-metal thrashing.

A brilliant battle royale that in many ways copies its competitors but also brings great ideas of its own and doesn’t let you catch your breath for a second. Its connection with the regular Modern Warfare multiplayer mode is just the icing on the cake.

Do we finally get a successor to the brilliant Inside? Unfortunately not. Stela can conjure up a great atmosphere thanks to its interesting environments and a tense soundtrack, but is let down by imprecise controls and puzzles relying on failure.

This is a true spiritual successor to X-Com games. The tense atmosphere and terribly lopsided fight to save humanity make this a wonderful strategic experience.

A well-written interactive visual novel aimed primarily at the newcomers to the world of the Masquerade. The progress is, however, a bit too linear and you can’t really change the outcome of the story.

One of the best examples of gamification in history. This exercise tool masquerading as a fantasy RPG is cleverly designed and actually works.
