FIFA 12 takes realism to an all-time high in sports games. The innovative changes in gameplay mechanics, much needed changes to career mode, and additional online modes makes this one of the most complete FIFA packages to date. If you're a true football fan, you'd be remiss to pass up FIFA 12 - even if you own FIFA 11.

EA Vancouver has achieved something that many believed the FIFA franchise never could. This title is a credit to the gaming community, a standout in the development world, and should be experienced by anyone who appreciates brilliance.

Although it maybe could have stood to add a little more content with some meat on its bones (maybe a new dungeon, or the areas that were cut from the original release), Wind Waker HD is one of the Wii U’s “must buy” titles without question.

It might not have the length or volume of content that other excellent titles like Mass Effect 2 or Red Dead Redemption have, but pound for pound, Limbo is the best game I have played all year.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a deep, rich, and sublime experience in both single player and multiplayer.

Super Meat Boy is a strong contender for the best platformer this generation. While it does have some fairly difficult moments, all of them are a product of solid, legitimately challenging design.

Once again, GTA proves that it is not affected by small stature - Chinatown Wars is the definitive handheld GTA experience that is further enhanced by the PSP's vastly superior presentation.

Words cannot stress how great Mario 3D Land really is. Although I would have liked to have seen a handful of concepts expanded, 3D Land does pretty much everything right: if you're looking for a new Mario game, this is it.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is challenging, satisfying, and heartbreaking. It's also one of the best strategy games this generation, and potentially of all time. If you're itching for a game that will either last you a long time, or challenge both your mind and your fortitude, this is it.

The most complete and polished downloadable content yet released on Playstation 3. A nigh on flawless racing package.

Overall, I found myself stopping to smell the roses on a number of ocassions, attempting to raise my Badass Rank just for fun. Even in the more run-of-the-mill areas or quests you might encounter during the game, these challenges help keep things interesting.

Certainly a worthy entry for any fan of RPG's, Persona 3 Portable stands as one of the longest, deepest, most time-consuming entries on the PSP to date.

While Plants vs. Zombies lacks the superior control scheme of iDevices (and even a good old fashioned PC mouse), the extra modes are worth a purchase: even if you already own another iteration!

Demon's Souls is one for the history books. It simply improves the recently stale action genre, and is way ahead of its time with its vision of online play.

While Left 4 Dead 2 is a fantastic game that delivers an incredible experience, many of the new features just feel like additional content that could have made the original even better.

With its electrifying blend of raw speed, intense pursuits, wince worthy crashes and revolutionary Autolog system, Hot Pursuit is an adrenaline-fueled rush that's a sure contender for racing game of the year and the best Need for Speed in all too long.

All in all, Dark Souls is a more difficult, but less enjoyable (and less accessible) Demon's Souls.

The Ballad of Gay Tony is more than just a bargain expansion: it's the single best game add-on available on Xbox Live.

Fez is a truly remarkable game, and can be placed in the indie pantheon along with Cave Story and VVVVVV. It provides a unique sandbox to engage in puzzle platforming, and it does that platforming aspect well - if you're fan of the genre, don't miss out on Fez. Let's just hope the sequel doesn't take five years to produce.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution lives up to the lofty expectations of the Deus Ex name. Beyond that, it's a superb game in its own right.

Vibrant visuals, great arcade sound, touchscreen native gameplay that's smooth and enjoyable, and even achievement and leaderboard integration via OpenFeint all combine to make this a must grab for those with a shmup-ish itch to scratch on the go.

L.A. Noire may have a handful of gameplay faults, but overall, it's an incredibly engrossing experience you won't want to miss out on.

If you're a Dark Souls fan, you need to buy this right away. If you're a casual fan who sounds like they're frustrated by the mere premise of accessing this content, you should probably back away now.

Peggle Nights is a worthy successor to the original Peggle, but it would have been nice to see a bit more content. For Peggle fans however, this is a must-buy.
