The After Years is a surprisingly competent sequel to Final Fantasy IV that will appeal to those who yearn for simpler times, but doesn’t offer anything above and beyond its predecessor.- Gameplayer Sweden

A hastily put together product that lacks the overall quality of other band-specific games like Guitar Hero: Metallica or The Beatles: Rock Band. Thank God for Ice Cream Man, Eruption and Panama.- Gameplayer Sweden

EchoShift provides a puzzling twist to its predecessors problem solving. Using time-shifted co-op with oneself makes for exciting problem solving, but also makes brains hurt. The cooled presentation unfortunately fails to provide comfort for broken spirits. Well thought out puzzles gives EchoShift long legs but gaming sessions soon runs out of steam.- Gameplayer Sweden

As a game EyePet isn’t that great, but as a form of entertainment it’s a whole of a lot better. Especially for kids, or perhaps ”only for kids” is more accurate. Because EyePet is primarily a kids game and as such a very good one. For adults it’s more of a gimmick which doesn’t hold up for very long.- Gameplayer Sweden

As an add-on Lips: Number One Hits is fantastic. It’s packed to the brim with some great karaoke songs and will definitely be something that Lips fans must buy. It does not, however, fix all the mistakes made by Lips. As a karaoke game it’s not that good.- Gameplayer Sweden

Lego Battles does a good job as introduction to the real time strategy-genre, but lacks in tempo and control. Gamers who already are familiar to the genre may find it to simple and should go for another game. And seriously, do we really need more games in Lego?- Gameplayer Sweden

Battlefield Heroes does quite a good job when it comes to entertaining the players for a short while, but with only a few maps and not that many weapons this "Free 2 Play" game comes a bit short. The game offers not that much diversity and if you want to spend your money on microtransactions there is mostly just new outfits to choose from.- Gameplayer Sweden

The remake of Klonoa for Wii is a colorful and cozy game that's perfect for the younger generation of players. Unfortunately, the experienced player has not much to get here more than a dose of nostalgia.- Gameplayer Sweden

Midnight Carnival brings few newsworthy editions to the series. It's still a great game, with excellent music and a rather challenging campaign. But it's still the same game you've been playing for some time now, and to be honest, it's getting a little old.- Gameplayer Sweden

The King of Fighters XII is a somewhat disappointing experience compared to the earlier installments. But even though SNK Playmore have toned down almost every aspect of the game, the game mechanics feels solid enough to attract those who enjoy some fighting and hand-drawn sprites.- Gameplayer Sweden

Heroes Over Europe is a good “arcady” flight sim and what it lacks in realism it makes up for in sheer entertainment. It’s a bit too short though, but still a great buy for gamers who love dog fights and air to ground combat.- Gameplayer Sweden

Based on a popular flash game this Wiiware product takes the concept a little further. The graphical style is bizarrely unique and the gameplay is repetitive but somehow enchanting. Best enjoyed with one of your friends.- Gameplayer Sweden

Prototype isn’t the type of game that shines despite of all it’s flaws. No, Prototype is the kind of game that surprises us that it isn’t in a worse shape just because of all it’s shortcomings. A mediocre game that tried so hard to be cool that it got lost in shallowness.- Gameplayer Sweden

A great game that isn't that great. Might sound like a contradiction, but it's true. Shattered Horizon is a finely crafted game, well balanced and everything. But it's strengths are also it's biggest weaknesses and it is just too monochrome and lacking too much in diversity.- Gameplayer Sweden

There is really no argument in favor of Ghostbusters on the Playstation 2. The story follows that of it's more talented brothers (Xbox 360 and Playstation 3) and the content offers no major news.- Gameplayer Sweden

An amazingly smooth-running game that stumbles upon story and makes a nose-dive when it comes to combat and sound. Unfortunately the scariest thing about The Ward is it’s extreme repetition. Its’ not a bad game per say, it’s just so helplessly behind its time and fails to make use of the unique abilities of the NDS.- Gameplayer Sweden

A game based on a movie could go the safe way, like the recent release of Ravensoft's Wolverine. Or it could try to be something more than just being a license. Terminator: Salvation tries to be something more and has a great system for healing, but in the end games like Wolverine are a better catch. Especially considering this games short campaign.- Gameplayer Sweden

While the addictive battle system makes up for some of the flaws, Star Ocean: The Last Hope still suffers from familiar issues and lack of innovation. Army of Two: The 40th Day is a big disappointment in so many ways. The first game had it's flaws, but was a good game for it's time. These days we expect more from a game, and this just doesn't cut it. An all to short campaign still feels repetitive, an multi player-component that lacks a distinctive feel. But worst of all is the controls, which will give you headache for a very long time. A swing and a miss, EA Montreal.- Gameplayer Sweden

X-Men Origins: Wolverine may be one of the the best games based in the franchise, but the lack of impressive visuals, variation and a compelling story drags this game down. The game does nothing original and might as well be a worse version of God of War with sideburns.- Gameplayer Sweden

Wet is, as a production, great but as a game it’s not that great. The main problem is the lack of soul and heart. Combining ”cool” features, mixing them up with a ”cool” lady killer just isn’t ”cool” if you don’t do it properly- Gameplayer Sweden

While the game offers a great variety in the first half of the game, the later parts feel incomplete and uninspired. The characters feels like the typical video game cast, and with some decent voice acting, this could have been a pretty good game. For kids.- Gameplayer Sweden

The final impression from 2K Sports latest creation is actually rather pale. The game struggles in it's role of being both an arcade type of a game, and a simulation of the sport. It's just not that fun to play, and when it comes down to it, EA Sports simply does a much greater job with their hockey-game this year.- Gameplayer Sweden

Demigod doesn’t give itself a fair chance on the gaming market. With the lack of a tutorial and even a description of the different game items comes a steep learning curve that demands a lot of effort from the player. Turtles in Time Re-shelled is a shallow remake that doesn’t make the most out of the original Turtles in Time. Even though it is a game falling slightly in the right direction, it doesn't feel like a serious attempt at making a proper sports-management game at all. It's way too much and way too little at the same time. EA seems to just have wanted to put as much stuff into the game as possible, without looking at the product as a whole. Fail.- Gameplayer Sweden

Trivial Pursuit is fun as a board game but as a digital game it doesn’t sport the same intense feeling of victory. It’s you against the game, not you against your competition and with that comes an apparent lack of intensity and fun. TP should be enjoyed around a table with friends and family, not in front of the TV.- Gameplayer Sweden

It's hard to do justice to a game that doesn't even do justice to itself. Spore Hero is nothing but a good example on how to exploit a franchise in the cheapest way possible. Uneven gameplay, stupid camera controls and ridden with boring puzzles and even more boring duels does not make a good children's game. It's a sad day when you're forced to play a game like this, at this time of year.
