Super Mario 3D World is a great game full of amazing games inside. The boundaries of the imagination were again overcome and the strong interactivity and magnificent achievements in technical terms prevails.

Tearaway is, until now, simply one of the best games on PlayStation Vita and the best demonstration of its capabilities in the context of a videogame.

It repeats much of the structure of previous games, and does not bring new game modes, but has an engaging story and a large number of entirely new puzzles.

This return to the nineties is not only made of successes, there are also barriers. While the narrative rhythm can drag in some dialogues and the progression within the dungeons can be somewhat slow by virtue of random battles, there is also dated graphics.

Without being a memorable game and never introducing major changes in a genre that found in Calling All Cars anirrecusable proposal, there’s still merit to justify the purchase of this TNT Racers, at least until the arrival of Project Cars and the always bombastic Mario Kart.

Football Manager 2014 will not bring any great addition as was the mode Classics last year, but a refining to the way we interact with various elements of the game, with special emphasis on tactics and interface. It continues as the deepest, more complex and detailed football coach simulator around, and a “guaranteed addiction” for the entire year.

Overall it's the best NBA game to date; the team at Visual Concepts did extremely well tuning the new system controls, though I would not discard the idea that there is still work to do in this field. This 2014 version is not quite a farewell to this generation, because we will have the same game, a version on steroids for the new consoles later this year.

Swap Force is the best game in the series to date, has a lot of content to offer and covers a wider range of audience. Even experienced players will be lost in the rhythm and variety that sometimes looks like a marriage between Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. You need a serious amount of money to make the most of it, but at the same time, when you decide to buy another Skylander, you know how much value it represents to your own adventure on the television.

What could be a fluid experience and well organized in terms of design, gives place to a number of gaps and inconsistencies that prevent the game to achieve the desired success.

I don’t know if it’s time to rest, might be a good time for it, especially if we consider the huge projects Ubisoft has got in their hands (I’m thinking Tom Clancy’s: The Division here). Last year, the freshness was on the wild nature, this time it’s on the theme and tone of the Caribbean world. Everything we love of Assassin’s Creed plus a pirate commander’s life? Yes please.

Pokémon X & Y do not change the formula of the series but has undoubtedly modified some bases already established. Never before has there been so many novelties to come at once and this is precisely why you will want to play it.

Arma 3 demands much of the player's ability, forcing him to make the best possible experience. It is the player who has to entertain itself using the tools that Bohemia Interactive provided.

The main conquer of A Realm Reborn is the fact that it feels like a Final Fantasy Game so it´s possible to enjoy it without remembering that we are playing a MMO. I don’t know if this alone justifies a monthly fee, what I know is that it will require a lot of quality updates to keep both publics interested.

We can say that Ubisoft did what was expected of an adaptation of Blacklist for Wii U. Without adding new content and unique functions that would elevate the game to a new level, it opted to keep a similar experience in all versions, the difference being that the Wii U adapts some mechanics to the GamePad.

There is always someone to punch, always something on top of each building, always a treasure chest to investigate, the problem is when the game tells us that “this trunk” can only be opened with a character that we don’t have, "ups, Dad! ... "

I'm sure it will delight true fans but at the same time, it is difficult to disguise some signs of fatigue. The next year’s version promises profound changes accompanying the announced transformation of the sport itself, but my curiosity is pointed to 2015, when Honda will come back to reissue its historical partnership with Mclaren.

After playing it, you will feel extremely connected to Jodie, the game does everything to develop this emotional bond between the player and the protagonist. It suffers from some of the interactive storytelling limitations, but it’s the most balanced and accomplished game from Quantic Dream so far.

Producing a game like PES for a new engine brings huge challenges, it would be impossible to have the same level of tuning of the prior version using the previous engine, but it is truly amazing what was accomplished on the first time.
