It is unforgiving and brutal, but in the best of ways that challenges players to carefully consider each step. For those who don't shy away from a challenge, ZombiU may just be the best reason to own a Wii U at launch.- Digital Spy

Each dungeon has its own theme and unique enemies, but once you learn the enemy patterns there is little incentive to go back through one you've already completed. Even the infinite dungeon recycles enemies from the rest of the game, making Deep Dungeons of Doom a fleeting but fun mobile adventure.- Digital Spy

Just Dance 4 is less of a sequel and more of an annual update, tinkering and tweaking with existing game modes in order to please its fanbase. Even so, an excellent soundtrack coupled with alternative routines, mashups and dance battles ensures that Ubisoft's latest continues to provide hours of entertainment.- Digital Spy

Though not as experimental or revolutionary as we would have liked, Peggle 2 is as bright, bouncy and brilliant as ever, delivering the same addictive action as its predecessor.- Digital Spy

New Super Luigi U doesn't necessarily improve on New Super Mario Bros. U, and we wouldn't recommend it for those who didn't get on with the original. As an expansion for a Wii U launch game that might be gathering dust, however, New Super Luigi U introduces lots of wonderful levels and an increased challenge.- Digital Spy

Republique's first episode is a strong, if somewhat short, introduction to the stealth series that holds a lot of promise, but could still use some refinement before the second episode arrives.- Digital Spy

Crysis 3 is one of those games that could have pulled in full marks if only a bit more time was devoted to development and testing...The bugs and design mishaps that have got through do not completely ruin the experience, but they take the shine off what could have been a truly brilliant game.- Digital Spy

Combo Crew is a fun brawler with plenty of content for players to dive into, but all of that content doesn't mean much after a while as it all starts to blend together.- Digital Spy

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die may just be the beginning, but it is easily one of the most delightfully bizarre trips of the year. It won't always make sense, but there is a consistent earnestness to its oddity that somehow makes it all work in harmony of '80s saxophone riffs and overly-affected Boston accents.- Digital Spy

Ms Splosion Man is as faithful a port as you can get, right down to the heroine's chipper pop culture references and hilarious cutscenes. It isn't perfect though, due mostly to the unavoidable limitations of the touch screen.- Digital Spy

Neither the combat, the puzzle solving or the presentation is overly brilliant on its own, but put it all together and you have a winning package that perfectly suits its target audience.- Digital Spy

But when it comes to the story itself, there is a nagging sense that either a piece of the puzzle is missing or perhaps that the puzzle just wasn't as interesting as it first seemed.- Digital Spy

Spec Ops: The Line lacks innovation or polish in its gameplay, but makes up for it with a story that genuinely has impact and meaning. Whilst the ending is a bit limp, the overall narrative raises serious questions about the duty of a soldier, and how far that goes. Whilst the multiplayer does not quite hit the same heights, this is still a shooter that stands on its own and is not afraid to show the ugly side of the Call of Duty dream.- Digital Spy

So while Third Eye Crime is certainly worth a download for curious fans of stealth games, that worth is also dependent on your willingness to pay a little bit more than the sticker price in order to get the full experience.- Digital Spy

Once you start an online match everything runs fine, but the initial connection often takes longer to establish than the match takes to play. Connection issues aside, for speedy wordsmiths Writer Rumble is an excellent find while those with slower fingers will want to steer clear for something more turn-based.- Digital Spy

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a stunning, impactful and exciting first outing for Surgent Studios and, for us, a classic in the Metroidvania space that could go toe-to-toe with recent big hitters like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Blasphemous 2. Surgent Studios has delivered a beautiful story that resonated with us as we explored the world of Kenzera, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly.- Digital Spy

Saints Row 4 may not be perfect, but it will, at least, be remembered for its brazen video game parodies, over-the-top set pieces and outrageous weaponry, rather than being a poor man's GTA. This, in itself, is a certifiable step in the right direction.- Digital Spy

Dead Island 2 is a concentrated dose of zombie-slaying fun. It’s a marvel to see it released at all after its tumultuous development, but Dambuster Studios has managed to more than deliver on its promise of a slasher that takes everything the original Dead Island set out as a blueprint and expand on it in an interesting way. It’s not perfect and won’t change the gaming landscape, but you’ll certainly have a blast ripping and tearing your way through sun-drenched Hell-A with more than a few surprises along the way.- Digital Spy
