Sunset Overdrive is the freshest game of the year, and if you aren’t excited to play it then there will be tons of mundane repeaters coming out soon enough to keep you busy. For those of you looking for a little more than the norm, Sunset Overdrive is the game you’ve been waiting for.

Overall the game has that "good vibe" feeling to it that is missing from the majority of videogames.

It's one of those games that you will either really enjoy or think it just was not for you. In ending I will say that they are just about there in every way and any game that shows a major improvement is certainly worth a look!

With the inclusion of the Eye Toy and a few new mini-games, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme is more than just a dance game, it's a revolution.

F.E.A.R. is all about messing with your head in single player. If you aren't freaked out by the ambient noises and ghoulish aspects during the games "downtime" you'll be on the edge of your seat trying to stay alive during the extremely intense firefights.

Theatrhythm won't be for everyone, obviously. Not everyone has an affection for video game music, and the game is strongly aimed at people with at least some familiarity with the Final Fantasy series. For series fans or rhythm game fans, it's a great choice. Heck, Theatrhythm's potent cocktail of an easy-to-learn rhythm gameplay and RPG mechanics even pulled in a doubter like me.

It's impossible not to have a good time with this game unless you're just into NASCAR or blasting people's heads off.

Between the well-designed maps and the revolutionary gameplay, Hybrid does plenty for the price, but I couldn't help but think that a campaign would be a lot of fun. If 5th Cell could make a sequel with wide-open level design and A.I. that can handle the complex tactical gameplay, it would be a blast.

The challenges are a lot of fun and the difficulty is dangled in front of you like a carrot on a stick, it's never forced down your throat making you feel like an inept loser.

These little pleasures make it relatively painless to play this game for extended periods of time, and even make it worth putting up with the repetitive and sometimes annoying music. It takes about eight hours to win on the medium ("Tricky") difficulty setting, not counting the side missions and the plenty of quirks you can unearth.

The elaborately designed monsters are often gorgeous to behold and have great pop-up book style animations.

The replay value is excellent and you will get your money's worth out of this expansion pack if you play from all perspectives. You'll even get some more use out of the original game.

The game employs what is known as "rag-doll physics." It's meant to replicate the way in which a human being's body reacts to an outside force such as car crash, explosion or bullet. The results are great. Bodies flail and fly with such accuracy that it's sure to put a smile on the lips of you sadistic little bastards out there.

The entire adventure lasts anywhere from 18 - 25 hours + depending on your abilities and in todays market that's a decent bang for your gaming dollar.

Serious Sam II is a handful. It may be more action than you bargained for. If you're not interested in the online mode then rent it first but be warned you may not finish it in one weekend.

Ridge Racer hasn't changed much over the last few years, but if you're not looking for the next evolution in racing, its arcade drifting will keep you coming back for more.

Its appeal is limited to a select audience who will appreciate it for exactly what it is: a trip down the blast processing memory lane. And if you know just what the heck "blast processing" refers to, you're a hardcore oldtimer and should reward yourself with this cool collection.

Minecraft Dungeons is a rare sort of game that’s probably only possible due to the Minecraft brand’s phenomenal success. RPGs are a relative niche, and historically you’re just supposed to happen upon them and sink or swim. Sure, there’s stuff like Pokemon, but there isn’t really an equivalent for the likes of Diablo. Mojang Studios has used Minecraft as a sort of vessel, with which they can teach that demographic the basic ins and outs of a new genre. And oldheads like myself who live and breathe this stuff can appreciate that mission, especially if they have kids to share it with. Minecraft Dungeons won’t do much for you if you’re looking for a new, true blue dungeon crawler. But if you have a little one to tag along on your expeditions, this is an accessible, cheerful, and polished romp perfect for extra bonding time.

It's fun and well produced but it's a console version of an expansion pack and nothing more.

The level of detail is amazing, although the overall quality of the game will be determined by your PC's capabilities. It's relatively easy to play but the more you get into it the more depth will reveal itself.

The dialog is well acted and quite humorous. The music is perfect for this game and maintains a consistently light and upbeat mood. It's hard to be in a bad mood when you're in Thrillville.

The one thing that you have to take into account while playing this title is the natural progression of the franchise. Opening it up to more comic book-focused storylines, allowing players to decide the outcome in various interesting ways, increasing the combat to make it enjoyable and easily accessible to anyone, and, of course, giving fans the Black Suit to play around with all do this admirably.

The single-player campaign is a lot of fun, though rather short. Multiplayer and lots of hidden objects help to extend the fun. Still, you'll be done with the game after a few weeks.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth was a welcome breath of fresh air for the popular tower defense genre when it released last year, and none of the clever mechanics, gorgeous visuals, and addictive fun were lost during its move to XBLA.

The games are short, but as a complete package the Mega Man Zero Collection is a strong value for your buck.

It's a testament to innovative thinking that the brilliant developers at Avalanche Software are able to find a way to breathe new life into an old premise and a series that most gamers would probably imagine has run its course.

Its great story, wonderful voice acting, and some pretty awesome Wii-mote gameplay make this a pretty good bet for the casual gamer, and who knows, maybe even a hardcore gamer or two as long as they don't mind the simple nature of the game.

The new features are great but some require some awkward finger movement and could have been laid out a little better.
