F1 2014 may have some graphical flaws, but it’s a fantastic game. Possibly the best F1 game of recent times thanks to the radical changes to the sport itself and the ease of access F1 2014 has to players.

The course designer adds a huge amount of depth to the game as you will never run out of new courses to play.

If it had better platforming mechanics and less frustration, I would recommend it. As it stands, I can only recommend it to people who genuinely feel NES was the golden age of gaming.

It’s a shame then that a game which is so well designed is hit by a pretty massive flaw, which is its length.

The cute courses and the decent track design do enough to make it worth playing for a while till a better racing game comes along.

If this sounds like your type of football management game then dive right in. However, for an iOS football manager there are other solutions out there, especially if you are willing to pay for them. The far more in-depth Football Manager Handheld 2015 from Sports Interactive for example.

For the price of £15 you get a game that rewards you with story and atmosphere, albeit a slight lacklustre combat experience and a game that is in need of updates adding more enemies and areas. Is it worth looking at this game? For certain. For me at least there are a number of unanswered questions that I need to resolve.

At its core, The Crew is one of the most ambitious games of the year. The problem is that the combination of bad design choices, poor performance and a certain lack of refinement also make it one of the biggest disappointments of the year.

There are enough subtle changes in the gameplay over the classic Lemmings that justify taking a look at Flockers.

As difficult and repetitious as Lovely Planet gets however, rarely is it frustrating. It’s hard to hold a grudge against a game so whimsical, especially when it delivers even the most nefarious of its tricks with such stone-faced innocence.

A pretty good game. It lacks any brilliant originality or unique spark to make it truly stand out from the crowd. When it’s not hampered by technical issues (it frequently crashed on me) and long loading screens, the game itself is quite fun, especially to play with friends. For the most part NS2 plays well and, while it doesn’t reinvent the wheel in any aspect, you could do a lot worse.

Duels 2015 lacks any of these fun Multiplayer formats which, to me, is it’s greatest weakness. But with a robust tutorial, a massive selection of cards and an emphasis on allowing the player the freedom to choose their own Decks, I still have to rate Duels 2015 as one of the strongest of the series.

Despite highlighting and isolating my complete lack of coordination, I had a lot of fun with the simple, solid and rewarding fundamental gameplay that KickBeat is, ultimately, all about.

There’s a lot about NHL 15 to be happy about, especially when it comes to actual game time. However, NHL 15 is not a finished product and as such this review score reflects that.

The original Shelter had me instantly replaying it, just to see if I could keep my babies alive. This time though, despite the bigger levels and excellently-crafted simple gameplay, I put the game down. It’s worth experiencing, but on this evidence the Lynx will flourish in wolf-free Britain.

Pineview Drive is a very atmospheric horror game. It ticks all the boxes for tension, atmosphere and makes you jump at all the right times. The only two things I found letting it down were the repetitiveness of searching the same rooms over and over again and the ending (which, in the interests of no spoilers I will not mention here) which didn’t feel like it lived up to the expectations of the rest of the game.

Times are sad when the weakest parts of a game are listed as “everything to do with the main plot and gameplay”. But by chaining the title to “Undead & Undressed”, XSEED have made it *about* the absolute worst parts.

The core of Nether – what it IS – hasn’t changed. It’s a game that requires your tender, loving care. It’s a seed; a seed with the potential to bloom into something beautiful and magnificent if you’re willing to get the right tools and put in all that work.

The advertisement was not subtle at all with the pop up adds coming up every two minutes. This can really ruin the playing experience overall as well as the waiting you have to do to gain energy.

A lack of real time multiplayer and repetitive music and visuals cut down this overall very fun arcade-y racer.

Mugen Souls Z wears its perverseness on its sleeve (or panties as it may be) but underneath that there’s a competent if clunky JRPG that doesn’t do enough to differentiate itself. It’s a bizarre game that helps serve as a reminder of how weird and different Japanese games can be but it never ascends beyond being a delivery vessel for crude humour and pervy art.

Even after you strip away the high level of fanservice and questionable theme; for every aspect that I enjoyed such as the characters and voiceover, there were others that marred my experience such as the repetitive combat, irritating camera and repetitive mission structure. For those that can ignore these misgivings, there is an enjoyable game waiting to be played.

It requires some mastery of its quick pace and barrage of enemies to fully enjoy the game. Due to its repetitive nature and its design primarily targeting those with a strong arcade past – particularly platformers – I would recommend this game, but I feel it is targeted at a small market.

For the price of Criminal Girls, you could buy a whole bunch of sex toys, one of those big anime pillows with a naked girl on it, or some really nice handcuffs and a whip. Regardless of who you use them on, you’ll have more fun with them than you will with this game.

It’s saddening that all of the effort the creators have put in to building such a quicky, charming visual style has gone to waste with such barebones gameplay, but the game’s low price and arcade-esque stylings may make it a nice little timekiller for some.

It’s so weird and ephemeral that when I got the credits, I wasn’t sure if the game was finished or about to begin. Sadly, that tells you a lot about the actual content. When it was all over, I was unsure if I had somehow missed the “game” part and just watched the cut scenes.

It’s shocking to see something this bad on a current gen console, and it’s really sad to think that someone released this and asked for money.
