Megamind: The Blue Defender is a below than average attempt at a platformer.

Somewhere in Comic Jumper is a solid game, but it's buried underneath muddy controls, terrible jokes and some odd design choices.

Blade Kitten is, overall, a disappointing experience. While functional, it does little to impress and even though it may last a while, there is little impetus to play beyond the first level.

There's nothing colourful about Colour Cross; it's a simple puzzle game akin to Picross or a painting version of Sudoku that hasn't been implemented very well.

What you're left with is a hastily put together, barely competent multiplayer shooter that looks as though it fell out of the PS2 ugly tree and scraped its poorly rendered face on every branch on the way down.

Maybe if it had a modicum of quality – I mean you would think that the extra development time provided by the wait for a new publisher might have led to a more polished, refined experience, sadly, just as in the case with nearly every other primetime TV tie-in, Prison Break: The Conspiracy is little more than a rushed, poorly developed title with very little in the way of a saving grace.

And, well, that’s about it. You jump between islands (well, still shots of islands), you give and receive arbitrary gifts from Zack and the other girls which supposedly determine who will and won’t be your friend (these girls really are quite shallow y’know) and you play a bunch of dire mini-games. If that sounds fun – Paradise is the place for you, or Zack Island, or, whatever it’s called.

Star Trek Online can be considered an impressive piece of fan service but, as a game, is a disappointingly unimaginative and shallow example of the MMO genre with severely flawed, poorly thought out mechanics that do little to draw players away from the powerful embrace of WoW.

All in all, there are better sports games and better fantasy games out there, and the fact that there aren’t many “fantasy-sports” games is probably all that will save Blood Bowl from being completely overlooked.

If you want to learn more about yoga, pick up a book, check out the internet, buy a DVD…..anything but this.

Fortix is driven by a sound gaming mechanic that’s almost difficult to criticise. “What you see is what you get”, “Does exactly as it says on the tin” etc, what is easy to criticise though, is the difficulty that gets much too intense for a game designed for 5 – minute bursts, as well as a visual presentation that’s just downright ugly. Combine this with a total lack of clever features and we have a game that’s just a borderline stinker.

It’s a sluggish, unintuitive, stumbling mess of a fighter, with only a handful of redeeming features, none of which raise it much further from the gutter of ineptitude it resides in.

For forty notes there are far better, far prettier, far more-captivating and far better-crafted RPGs than Way of the Samurai 3, and bearing that in mind it’s hard to think of anyone other than the most avid games collector to recommend it to.

In short, Ju-On The Grudge is a pointless approximation at a movie tie-in, the name alone being pretty much all there is similar between the two interpretations.

This is a puzzle game wrapped up in a failing license, garnished with shoddy movie tie-in controls and a brazen lack of bravery.

If you’re a fan of Qix-style games and need to chew up 30 minutes of your life, give it a shot. Otherwise, there’s plenty of other indie titles out there that are a better way to spend a bit of cash.

If I may return to the slightly clumsy sandwich-based analogy that I began with, Fallout 3 DLC is like a BLT made with the driest bread possible; the best way to enjoy your sandwich is to throw the bread away and enjoy the flavoursome bacon, fresh lettuce and juicy tomato on their own. So forget about the stale crust that is Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta - take an Atkins diet approach and just head straight for the filling.

Somewhere in Infernal: Hell's Vengeance is a solid if unspectacular addition to the shooting genre, but that game is buried under a pile of technical issues and poor design choices that ruin any chance that the game had of making an impact in an extremely competitive genre.

Unfortunately, for everything that Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires does right, it does several things to remind you that this is the exact same game as DW2, way back in 2000; from the combat to the graphical design and quality, the series has been treading water for years.

The DS version should be avoided by anyone wanting to experience a similar thing on the go; the changes made here are just too drastic, and poorly conceived to create anything of much merit. Stick with the PSP version if you must have the Busters with you at all times.

PDC World Championship Darts 2008 is a game that really has no reason to exist.

Mad Dog McCree is not a very good game at all. The stories of the three games are poorly thought out, the gameplay is frustrating, the graphics look ancient and the lifespan is poor to say the least.

This game doctor is diagnosing Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward as having contracted a terminal case of tedium, with symptoms that include repetitiveness and tiresome gameplay.

If you’re the type that enjoys really wracking their brain for hours trying to solve fiendish puzzles, this is a title you may want to take a look at.

Damnation is assuredly bigger than your average game, but the better for it? Oh my, no: its scale only exacerbates its innumerable deficiencies.

It plays like it was put together by confused adolescents with broken fingers and no concept of reality. It's buggy, broken, stupid and about as far from funny as a game that's based on a comedic film could possibly be.

Trust me when I say that Stalin vs. Martians is an utter waste of your time and money - I played it for free and I still feel ripped off!

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 is boring. And repetitive. And repetitive. AND REPETITIVE.
