The 10 Worst Video Games of 2019
Above are the lowest-scoring games released for any platform between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. Games are ranked by Metascore prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 7 reviews from professional critics are excluded. If a single title would have landed on the list multiple times due to low scores on more than one platform, we only included the lowest-scoring version.
A tactical game set in the world of the Netflix series Narcos, Rise of the Cartels allows you to choose which side to play on—with the DEA, or with the Narcos. But critics suggest you'll probably grow bored with the game long before you decide to play through a second time.
“Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is not a broken game, nor is it ugly or offensive. But it is joyless. It feels cold, like a corporate cash grab, and suffers from a fundamental misunderstanding of its target audience. There are interesting elements and attractive qualities, but the game overall fails to deliver much of anything to anyone in particular.” —The Indie Game Website
