36 #9: Underworld Ascendant (PC)

A sequel to the early-1990s Ultima Underworld action-RPG games, the delayed but just-released Ascendant gives the impression of a product rushed out the door before it was ready. The messy result is so buggy that many critics complain that even a theoretical future patch wouldn't be able to save the game.
