The 10 Worst Video Games of 2016
Below are the lowest-scoring games released for any platform between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Games are ranked by Metascore prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 7 reviews from professional critics are excluded. If a single title would have landed on the list multiple times due to low scores on more than one platform, we only included the lowest-scoring version.

Sure, the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters that arrived in theaters last summer had its critics, but at least it somewhat delivered what it promised: roughly two hours of supernatural-themed action-comedy. This videogame tie-in, however, is barely even a game, and asks that you fork over even more cash for what reviewers described as a humorless slog. (In fact, it's barely even a tie-in; the characters in the game are not the ones in the film.) The shooter also scored poorly (32) with critics on Xbox One, and it's hard to get much lower than the PS4 version's user score of 0.6.
"Ghostbusters is a deplorable, cynical bit of licensed drivel that wouldn't be worth the $50 asking price if the instruction manual were printed on a $50 bill." — Polygon
