The 10 Worst Video Games of 2021
Above are the lowest-scoring games released for any platform between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. Games are ranked by Metascore (as of December 18, 2021) prior to rounding, and any titles with fewer than 7 reviews from professional critics are excluded. If a single title would have landed on the list multiple times due to low scores on more than one platform, we only included the lowest-scoring version.
Hailing from the French studio behind the Pro Cycling Manager series, Earthblood is based on the World of Darkness tabletop RPG series. The stealth/action/RPG game tasks you with playing as Cahal, a werewolf who is enraged by pollution and seeks revenge against a giant oil company. Though the game made a decent first impression when it was unveiled at E3 a few years ago, Earthblood was met by middling to poor reviews at launch in February, when critics faulted the game's overly repetitive nature, superficial storytelling, and dated gameplay.
“Playing as a powerful, rage-filled werewolf should be the perfect set-up for a great video game but Earthblood misses so many obvious opportunities it’s as if the game itself is cursed." —Metro GameCentral
