The Worst New TV Shows of 2019
What were the biggest television duds of the past year? Above are the lowest-scoring first-year primetime TV series (including limited series) debuting in the United States between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. Shows are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades from top professional critics on a 0-100 scale) prior to rounding, and must have at least 4 reviews from professional critics.
(#7) Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn play the parents of a heart donor who discover that their daughter may not be quite as dead as they first thought in this Netflix supernatural drama. Critics think there's a spark of a good idea at the heart of the series, but that it certainly didn't need to be stretched out over 10 episodes. Or even two.
“The pacing is off here in every single episode. Sasha isn’t an interesting character and poor Uma Thurman seems like she signed up for a much more interesting show about grief.” —Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com
