The Worst New TV Shows of 2018
What were the biggest television duds of the past year? Above are the lowest-scoring first-year primetime TV series (including limited series) debuting in the United States between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. Shows are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades from top professional critics on a 0-100 scale) prior to rounding, and any programs with fewer than 7 reviews are excluded.
(#7) This one-and-done Fox sitcom from Funny or Die and writer/producer Lon Zimmet (Superstore, Happy Endings, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) focused on the crew and regular passengers of a regular weekend roundtrip flight between Burbank and Las Vegas. (Yes, even the show's title is a lie.) Despite being the first movie or television show to pair actors Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney on screen—thus finally proving beyond doubt that they aren't the same person—the show failed to impress critics, who found it about as exciting as an actual plane flight.
