The Worst New TV Shows of 2018
What were the biggest television duds of the past year? Above are the lowest-scoring first-year primetime TV series (including limited series) debuting in the United States between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. Shows are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades from top professional critics on a 0-100 scale) prior to rounding, and any programs with fewer than 7 reviews are excluded.
(#6) There's virtually no reason that a thriller set in a virtual reality world can't work on television, but there's virtually no chance that it will be successful as a low-budget, broadcast network summer series. NBC's Reverie finds Sarah Shahi and Dennis Haysbert teaming up to rescue people trapped in a VR world, but critics were ready to power off after the first episode.
