The Worst New TV Shows of 2017
What were the biggest television duds of the past year? Above are the lowest-scoring first-year primetime TV series debuting in the United States between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017. Shows are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades from top professional critics on a 0-100 scale) prior to rounding, and any programs with fewer than 7 reviews are excluded.
(#6) Set 15 years later, this short-lived reboot of Antoine Fuqua's 2001 movie of the same name was one part crime procedural, one part serialized story, and no parts good, which meant that viewers deserted the show rapidly after its midseason premiere. Unfortunately, it was the last filmed work to feature Bill Paxton, who died just before the show's 5th episode aired.
