The 10 Worst TV Shows of 2016
Below are the lowest-scoring first-year TV series debuting in the United States between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Shows are ranked by Metascore (an average of grades from top professional critics on a 0-100 scale) prior to rounding, and any programs with fewer than 7 reviews are excluded.
A&E attempted to duplicate the success of Bates Motel but failed miserably. Whereas that series continues to serve as a prequel to the classic horror film Psycho, the Glen Mazzara's (The Walking Dead) Damien is a sequel to the classic 1976 horror film The Omen, taking place 25 years later when a now-grown Damien Thorn works as a war photographer (when, you know, he isn't busy being the Antichrist). Critics weren't scared, audiences stayed away, and Damien died a quick death after one season.
