Winter TV Preview: 30 Notable New & Returning Shows
New year, new shows. In the gallery above, find our guide to the most promising new shows debuting in early 2019, plus some notable returning favorites.
Debuts January 10 on NBC. Canceled by Fox after five seasons, the beloved cop comedy was quickly snatched up by NBC, which is arguably a better fit for a series that comes from some of the team behind similarly acclaimed NBC sitcoms like Parks and Recreation and The Good Place (the latter of which will air following Nine-Nine on Thursday nights). This sixth season will find regular Chelsea Peretti departing the show, though she'll still appear in a few episodes to wrap up her story. The premiere will find Jake and Amy (Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero) on a honeymoon, while a future episode directed by cast member Stephanie Beatriz will deal with the #MeToo movement.
