21 TV Shows to Watch This Summer
The coming summer, arguably, may not have the sheer volume of high profile shows that we have become accustomed to in recent years. But that certainly doesn't mean there won't be anything to watch. In fact, the highlights—led by the returns of Twin Peaks and Game of Thrones—include some of this year's most-anticipated shows regardless of season.
Below you can find details on the most notable TV debuts this summer (both new and returning shows), ordered by date. For more premiere dates and details on every upcoming show (including those not profiled here), visit our 2017 TV Premiere Calendar.
Fans—and there are many—of Adult Swim's irreverent, sci-fi animated comedy series have been waiting since October 2015 for a new season of Rick and Morty. That patience was partially rewarded on April Fools' Day with the surprise release of the season's first episode, "The Rickshank Rickdemption." That and 13 additional episodes from S3 will air beginning sometime toward the end of the summer. Co-creator Dan Harmon's other (highly entertaining) show, HarmonTown, will also return this summer (date tbd) with new episodes on Seeso.
