21 TV Shows to Watch This Summer
The coming summer, arguably, may not have the sheer volume of high profile shows that we have become accustomed to in recent years. But that certainly doesn't mean there won't be anything to watch. In fact, the highlights—led by the returns of Twin Peaks and Game of Thrones—include some of this year's most-anticipated shows regardless of season.
Below you can find details on the most notable TV debuts this summer (both new and returning shows), ordered by date. For more premiere dates and details on every upcoming show (including those not profiled here), visit our 2017 TV Premiere Calendar.
This is what all of the Netflix Marvel series (from the great to the disappointing) have been leading up to. This eight-episode series unites Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in New York to battle a common enemy played by Sigourney Weaver. Other familiar faces including roving stars Rosario Dawson (as Claire Temple) and Carrie-Anne Moss, plus Daredevil's Élodie Yung's (Elektra) and Scott Glenn. Guiding the ship are Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who served as showrunners during the second season of Daredevil, while S.J. Clarkson will direct multiple episodes, as she did for Jessica Jones.
